Balance Book
I thought some of the exercises were useful. Was looking for more variety without using equipment.

This book is a must read for anyone who desires to improve their balance.
As a life time student and martial art instructor I have been into physical fitness all my life, but six years ago I developed a rare medical condition which also affects my balance. I never realized the importance of balance until I developed this medical problem. I purchased this book (Balance Training: Stability workouts for core strength and a sculpted body by Karon Karter) on Amazon in order to see if there were some exercises that would improve my balance. I am happy to say that this book contained many exercises I could incorporate in my fitness program which will improve my balance. This 113 page book is organized into three parts. Part one gives an overview of the importance of having good balance. The second part shows 6 different workout routines. The final part, which is the longest, covers the numerous exercises to help develop good body balance. At the present time my balance is so bad I do not use any of the props in this book; however, I do all the standing one-leg exercises using the wall for assistance. Progress has been slow but I do feel my balance is slowly improving. If you are seeking to improve your balance this fantastic book is for you. For me it was of great value. Don't believe everything you read!
I was browsing through this book today and couldn't believe what I was reading when I came across the "shoulder blade" retraction and protraction error. Wow! I can't believe that wasn't caught before being published! It even shows the pictures incorrectly! I immediately checked the Amazon reviews to see if anyone else caught this. I wish I had read Figaro's review dated May 18, 2009 before making this purchase.
