Can this be used on an induction cooker

Cast iron pans and any black metal or iron pans will work on an induction cooking surface. Stainless steel pans will work on an induction cooking surface if the base of the pan is a magnetic grade of stainless steel. If a magnet sticks well to the sole of the pan, it will work on an induction cooking

Does the height measurement include the lid to the top of the handle?

Hi, I have just measured mine with the lid on. It measures 17cm to the top of the lid handle

I purchased this item but when i use it it first my smoke alarm went on.i was making it hot so i can cook my sourdough..what should i do ?

That's normal, let it burn off the coating, once the smoke it gone it's ready for use. Their pre seasoning may have left some residual coating, that you didn't wash off before the first use.

Will it work on a gas hob, or only induction?

Gas or induction or fire. Gas would be best but I use induction hob. It's a big pot.
