Caused pain and blisters - on first run
The shoe fits fairly true to size, slightly loose but nothing that can’t be fixed with a thicker sock and a heel lock (the latter does leave the lace barely able to tie, it’s really short). My big issue is the upper lace eyelet closest to the big toe. It digs into your skin, causing pain, a blister and a bruise, on the very first run! 3 miles in, my left foot. Tied the laces differently and wore a silicone bandaid on the blister once it had heeled almost completely, and gave it another go, thinking maybe it was my foot, maybe too boney or something. 7 miles in, right foot, same thing, but this time I had a change of shoes with me. I looked up online reviews and I am not alone. You’d think more people would mention this, given the shoe we are talking about, but I had to specifically search for “AP3 cuts into skin”. The only solution seems to be to cut that eyelet out on each shoe, and tie it from the second or third eyelets onwards. So now I have a hole in each shoe, and only after 10 miles in them. I gave them a 3 star because when they are not cutting through my skin, the ride is light and smooth, but definitely not worth the purchase.
