I didn’t have too much trouble figuring out how to use it with the instruction card included. The clamp was ready for installing the T8 snaps when I opened the box. It’s nice that it can be used with T3 and T5 snaps as well because they included the appropriate parts necessary. The included snaps are about .5 inches in diameter.I tried the clamp and snaps out on scrap material first to get a feel for it. Paying attention to which side of the snap is male and which is female is very important because my snaps were not separated by their... “gender” (🤔🤔) in the included storage case. I included a picture with labels to help.I was timid with how hard I squeezed the clamp at first because I didn’t want to break the snap but I found that applying a good amount of pressure was necessary to properly secure it. I was able to squeeze multiple times to get it tight without damaging the snap.Since I’m inexperienced with snaps I can’t give an opinion on whether this set is better than another brand but I’m satisfied with the quality considering my needs. I wasn’t able to find anything like this set at the Michael’s Craft Store near my house. ### ⭐ False Advertising! Highly irritating because I ordered this to make lanyards for my children’s school masks and now I have to deal with getting a refund and crossing my fingers that the next one I purchase hasn’t been falsely advertised. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Takes a little getting used to, I have ruined several snaps learning how to install properly *by G***L on Reviewed in the United States on January 23, 2021* If the thickness of the material is not just right, you will have a problem with the snaps distorting and not being usable. Then they have to be removed! I found removing the ruined snap harder to do than installing them, youmust careful not to damage the material or yourself. The amount of pressure installing them is critical all of whichdepends on the thickness and plies of material. Too much pressure and it distorts the snap making it not usable, too little pressure and the snaps won't snap together well. Somewhat disappointed in the quality of the whole process. Suggest testing snaps on scraps of material before going to your finish piece.I found the easiest way to remove the snaps was to use a leather punch tool with multiple holes and cut through the snap into a scrap of cardboard.
