Package is average but the Seagate Barracuda is a quality stuff, durable and works great. I procured two of these 4TB drives to build a cost-effective RAID system using the PiBOX D3532 DLC enclosure. I have put them through more than 2 days of non-stop continuous writes and downloads, and the system works seamlessly without any issues. Pros: Simple Installation: Very straightforward to set up and assemble. Seamless Compatibility: Works flawlessly across mobile devices, laptops, and PCs when used through the PiBOX assembly as an external drive.Great Durability: High-quality build that handles heavy workloads well. Cons:HDD Pricing: The cost of HDDs has skyrocketed recently, which impacts the overall value. Packaging: The shipping package was just average/mediocre.Operational Noise: There is a mild mechanical sound while operating, but it is mostly negligible. Storage Note: Keep in mind that the 4TB storage capacity gives you 3,762 GB of actual usable space on your computer. Overall, it's a solid, reliable buy for a budget RAID setup!

Received a defective drive. Unfortunately by the time I tested the drive and found it was a defective drive, the window to return it to Amazon had closed. So now I am struggling to get a replacement from Seagate India. Very disappointing.

Very bad packaging for such expensive premium item

Packing was very poor and drive failed in first attempt while copying the files. Sound coming from harddrive as bad block, continuous ticking noise..

The HDD detects by the system but cannot initialize it so we can't use it at all

Il disco è funzionante, testato personalmente e in scrittura ha raggiunto i 140 MB/s di velocità in scrittura sequenziale, tramite rete ethernet. Acquistato per un QNAP TS-431P, pienamente compatibile e subito riconosciuto alla sua capacità massima, cioè 4 TB. LEGGERE L'unica nota negativa che tocca lasciare (nonostante le 5 stelle) è che, come si vede in foto, il disco è arrivato con l'incastro in plastica dei pin di alimentazione piegato, per cui non entrava nel QNAP e in nessuno spinotto di alimentazione disco. Non avendo voglia di restituirlo, con un po' di pazienza e un cacciavite a taglio, ho raddrizzato l'incastro per farlo entrare nel QNAP, avendo visto che era piegato e comunque i pin erano pressoché tutti dritti, a parte qualcuno. Un difetto del genere può capitare con qualunque marca di memorie di massa, a prescindere da marca famosa o no. Non mi sento di criticare la spedizione, in quanto il disco era comunque imballato con fogli di pluriball, perciò, se fosse stata colpa di essa, credo che il disco non sarebbe nemmeno partito o avrebbe fatto il classico "clack" di quando è danneggiato. Invece, il disco è da un mese ininterrotto che funziona dentro il QNAP acceso 24h, è sempre lì che legge e scrive, nessun rumore, totalmente silenzioso (ci si dorme la notte ad un metro di distanza), nessun cenno di cedimento, prestazioni ottime nonostante i 5.400 rpm. In sostanza, 5 stelle ugualmente perché sono contento del disco, avrei dovuto dare una stella a causa dello stato del connettore e del danno che avrebbe potuto provocare facendo forza dentro al QNAP appena aquistato, i cui connettori SATA sono fissi e non sostituibili, se non mi fossi accorto del problema. Fare sempre attenzione allo stato dei connettori. Detto questo, il disco funziona e ne sono contento.
