This is well made and a little over a foot tall. I ordered Babar books to go with him. The books are translated from French and were popular when my children were young. I am buying things for my great grandchildren that my children enjoyed.

Babar is eternally lovable! I grew up with his first books in France and still love reading them. Babar and Celeste and their entourage are affectionately and humorously depicted; their lives and activities and emotions reflect the those of human beings, together with the fantasy and dreams of individuals of all ages everywhere. The toy is a perfect replica of our beloved elephant, soft and cuddly with every detail intact. I often give it and the first book(s) to very special new baby friends and their siblings - and even sometimes give the toy Babar to adult fans! Who wouldn't fall in love with Babar?

I visited Monaco a long time ago. The entire time I was there, I half expected to see King Babar coming around the corner at any moment. I got the seated version of this doll, not the standing version. I find it quite odd that the seated and standing versions have differing age recommendations. Quite an unusual conundrum. Physically, the plush doll appears to be well made and not likely to disintegrate in its forseeable future together with a 3 year old, two legged tornado. Will buy again if ever have more granddaughters.

I have loved Barbar since I was a child .. and now I'm 75! I purchased these wonderful Babar dolls for my grandchildren, and now they are all grown up too. I decided to get another Babar just for me to have at home!! I just love him! Thank you so much. A++++

Excellent quality!

I could have cried when I got this. I’m a grown woman who brought this for herself because the show was so dear to my heart as a child. I sleep with it every night and had been looking for a Babar plush for a long time. It’s one of those things you want your children and eventually their children to love after you’re gone. It’s just the right size too. I’m so happy that I got it and it is absolutely perfect.
