This is our third summer using the Summer Bridge Activities books, and I cannot recommend them enough. A colleague shared these books with us several years back, and we have been using them for all of our kids ever since. It has been a massive help for our family. While other children in their grades often experience a summer slide, these workbooks keep our kids sharp so they always test higher at the beginning of the school year. This particular workbook is for the transition from 1st to 2nd grade. It is perfectly aligned with what our son just finished learning, which is wonderful for review, while still offering a sneak peek at new material for the upcoming year. I love that you can just spend 15 minutes a day to sharpen your kids' minds and keep them challenged. Pair this with 30 minutes of daily reading, and they will be incredibly well-prepared and confident for the jump to the second grade!

These bridge books are the best activity book I found for my three kids. We have tried numerous other activity books and none of them seem to be more age appropriate or keep my kids attention like these. I also love that inside of the books they guide you as to which pages should be done on what day of summer break. It give my kiddos a goal to achieve which gives them a sense of accomplishment when they are finished. This is my third year purchasing a bridge book and it is something I will continue to do each year for my littles.
