Yes it does i used it for that already and it injects pudding in middle of cupcakes too yum it has different fittings

Not directly. It injects FILLING into cupcakes and assuming the filling has some flavor, then I would say yes, it adds flavor. However, it's not like a meat injector which would inject a liquid. A cream filling would be the logical choice, but I'll bet Nutella or the new "jif whips" chocolate/peanut butter filling would be quite nice. It's simple to do, but the results are special. Will standard metal piping tips work with this?

That would work if they fit well into the round plastic connector to the tube.

Does it have a cap for storaging while full?

No cap for storage but I suppose you could put one of the smaller tips and place in storage bag
