Can you see through simple items like a door or wall?

unfortunately they can only see through extremely high tech items like extraterrestrial space ships...so unless you have one of those handy, these glasses can only be used as a gag or costume item. Sorry!

Are the swirls on the lenses actually white and red? Some reviews state this wasn't the case.
