ECCPP AC Clutch 2014-2022 for Ram ProMaster 1500 2500 3500 3.6L

My Pilot's ac didnt want to work. Turned out clutch wasnt engaging. Mechanic suggested to get the whole compressor, bought an aftermarket for $110, gave mechanical another 100 to replace. Few days go by, I smell burning and ac slowly giving less cool. Took it to mechanic, he said its bad, need to change it. Watched youtube, found out only clutch can be replaced. went to amazon bought this clutch and tools, took me 2 days due to its location and me doing it 1st time lol. None the less, its been months, still working great, thank God.

Perfect fit on my kid's honda civic. AC works again! This saved me over $$ a thousand $$ it was easy to change. It has been on the car for a month and still going strong. Thank you!

Only worked the day of the install and the next day after it been working it stoped working, the hardware is very cheap and flenxy, I am a mechanic my self and would not recommend to someone to pay for getting it installed waste of money and time also does not fit flush a lot of noise at first too.

Install was simple. Took longer to get old part off then to install new.

The clutch worked well until my compressor went out shortly after I had it installed. Not the clutches problem though. I should have bought the whole assembly to start with. Oh well,back to the drawing board 😕

Not sure why the reviews here are for all sorts of different vehicles, but the listing I purchased and and am trying to review is for a 3.6L V6 Chrysler Pacifica (2017+). The product itself fit correctly, and seems to be of decent quality. However, there is one serious issue (which can be remedied). The pulley and clutch plate are supposed to have a gap; a gap large enough that the clutch can disengage from the pulley when the AC is turned off. The supplied washers that go on the backside of the bolt are supposed to ensure this gap, and the washer are VERY thin. However, with the way this product is designed, those washers do not provide near enough thickness to create the proper air gap between the clutch and pulley. I have a drawer of spare washers, and I added them to the bolt to increase the gap. In the end, it took about ten times the thickness of the supplied washers to get the proper gap, and allow the compressor to properly turn off. For those attempting the repair with this product, a regular washer at the hardware store is about 3 to 4 times thicker than the washers supplied with this product, so 2 or 3 added washers should suffice.

This worked great for my 2003 Baja. needed some finesse to install, but got the ac running like a charm for a lower cost that system replacement when it’s set to broil outside. It is quiet, included everything needed for the work except the belt, and was a 2 hour garage repair- pretty easy for a Subaru.

The clutch spline shaft is shorter than the stock unit so the shims aren’t enough to give proper clearance from the pulley. Used the original clutch and it spaced to spec fully bolted down. Otherwise the kit absolutely solved my problem. Tip: do not attempt this without a 3 jaw gear puller. Free to rent at most auto parts stores and is really a requirement for the job unless you have a helper, a long prybar to come down from the top, and a lot of patience. Even with gear puller it’s a PITA, but it’s doable. All in all, a $40 part to avoid a massive repair bill at a shop and a few hours is completely worth it. Would have given 5 stars if I could have used the clutch from the kit.

Clutch works properly but connector was wrong. Had to cut connector off old one and solder it to the new clutch.
