How does this compare to the DCF899 1/2 in real use?

I used to use the 1/2 inch gun with an adapter to use 3/4 drive sockets, but using the 897 is a whole lot better more torque and power, with the 5ah battery is so much more longer lasting, not that it was a real problem before!

How come the same model is available from Screwfix for £149.00 ? I thought you would be cheaper !!!!!

The model available at Screwfix is the DCF899, the 1/2 drive version of this tool. If you want the 3/4 drive check Powertoolmate it's around £170.
