This is ultrapure distilled water, intended for critical laboratory use. If you just want to avoid the minerals in tap water just get the grocery store stuff.

**Q: Can this be used to calibrate/zero a refractometer? (1.000 S.G.?)**
A: Yes, we use it at work in the machine shop for just that. Just a double check of zero. Works well
