Incredible Performance and Control
I replaced my Eero 6+ with the GL.iNet Flint 3, and the difference is incredible. The speed and coverage are noticeably better, and the connection feels rock-solid even with multiple devices streaming and gaming at the same time. One of the biggest advantages is the level of control you get. Unlike the Eero, which locks you into a more limited ecosystem, the Flint 3 gives you advanced features like built-in AdGuard for ad-blocking, powerful VPN support, and customizable settings that are easy to manage through its interface. Setup was simple, but it also offers tons of flexibility if you want to dig deeper and fine-tune things. Build quality is excellent, and I can already tell this router is built for the long haul. If you’re coming from an Eero or another consumer mesh system and want something with more power, privacy, and control, the Flint 3 is absolutely worth the upgrade.

Solid choice, easy and quick
First time buying GL.Inet. Most recently used a Netgear RS100 which suffered from random connection drops and has an extremely slow UI/app. In comparison, Flint 3 has an extremely responsive UI, no setup app required, just login to the router IP address. No phone app to setup was key for me as the Netgear app was terrible. Essentially works right out of the box. On my 1Gbps service, 5ghz gets to 750mpbs, 6ghz gets to 950mbps. Also has built in AdGuard which seems to work well. Other apps as well such as VPN. Haven't had any dropped connections, and range through wood/drywall is good.

A great tri-band WiFi 7 for the price
The Flint 3 seems like a great WiFi router for the price. The OpenWRT firmware is very clean and easy to set up. I was able to get all three bands (2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz) and multi-link operation (MLO) working in a few minutes. I haven't tried any of the more advanced features like VPN or the built-in applications like AdGuard, Tailscale, or ZeroTier so I can't speak to how well those work. I also haven't tried the Network Storage feature. I got it as a replacement for an old Linksys WRT1200AC (WiFi 5) that seemed to be slowly failing. The WiFi signal from the Flint 3 seems noticeably stronger than what I was getting with the WRT1200AC, particularly the 5 GHz band.

Big bang for the buck.
Excelente router. Very fast Wi-Fi. Setup was very easy. I use OpenVPN and Wireguard. Both were easy to set up with really nothing to configure. I asked my VPN provider for a configuration file with my streaming IP and I dragged and dropped the file in the corresponding place and tapped on start, easypeasy. They have an app to monitor and make changes to the settings. The MLO is very nice. My Samsung Galaxy 25 Ultra supports this and it's super fast and because it supports 3 bands, it's has very good range. Even though it's kind of pricey, it packs a lot of bang for the buck, especially with the OpenVPN and Wireguard throughput. I have 500 up and down and I'm getting Wireguard speeds of 350 up and down, OpenVPN speeds of 250 up and down. So I'm pretty happy.

Good 2.5G router with 6Ghz and a ton of features, disappointing WiFi range and USB 3 port speeds
Get this is you want a super reliable 2.5G router with WiFi 7, 6Ghz, adguard, vpns, and about every feature that any home or small business user would want. Do not get this if you want really good WiFi range. It is usable but not great. The WiFi will cover my 2000ish sqft house with the router in the very center of the house, but just barely. If the router was nearer one end of the house it would not come anywhere near covering it. This router has about half of the wifi range of my ISP provided TMobile modem/router. Also if you want to use the USB 3 port to setup an external hard drive or thumb drive as a basic NAS the speeds are not great. Transfers can spike to like 100mb/s, but after a second they drop to about 30mb/s. I have tried several different drives, even ones that have speeds of 200mb/s+ when connected directly to my PC, all do about 30mb/s connected to this router. I tested this with drives formatted in NTSF, EXT4, and exFAT, it did not seems to effect the speeds. Perhaps this is something they they can improve through a firmware update at some point. Overall I am pretty happy with the router. It has been a very solid 2.5G router, I have had zero issues with long 260MB/s transfers to and from my home nas. I think that it restarted itself once in the month that I have been using it. The interface is excellent and it can do basally anything that you would want. Very easy to use adguard and vpns, I have been using it with PIA, it has been working very well, I have not really even noticed any decrease in speed or increase in latency, although I am sure there was some impact. Other then the limited range wifi is pretty solid, 6GHz works well and is certainly faster then 5Ghz, but you have to be pretty close to the router to get all that high of speeds due to the weak Wifi. WiFI 7 is pretty cool, it works with most old devices they just run on the bands that they support. The only device that I have that does not work with it is a 7+ year old Amazon Kindle paperwhite, and I can just connect it to the straight 2.4ghz band. Also I like that this company seems committed to very long term firmware support Overall a good router, but falling short of being great mostly from the poor wifi range. If they could improve their antennas or something and get like 50% more range it would be pretty great. Also this is a fairly minor complaint but I really feel like the USB 3 port is too slow at 30MB/s to be all that usable for a NAS storage device, it really needs to be able to handle something like 100MB/s sustained speeds. The main reason why the poor range on this router really bothers me is because my old router, the one provided to me with my TMobile Home internet has really exceptional range. It can be at one end of the house and easily reach though the whole house 50ft through like 5 walls to the other end of the house. It also reaches like 100-150ft out into the yard. It was made by Nokia so I guess it makes since that they would really know how to make some exceptional antennas. While this router placed in the very center of the house just barely covers the whole house, and does not really reach out into the yard at all, so it has less then half of the range of the old router. I live out of town so this is not from interference. So I think that the antennas on this router are just not very good. Overall a decent router and recommended if you do not mind the mid WiFi range.

Impressive product for a very reasonable price!
A very solid WiFi Router, with many options. I haven't had any issues, I really like the app interface and it's simple and straight forward to use. I'm a Gamer, YouTuber and and content creator so I was looking for a good upgrade and this product has exceeded my expectations.

Absolutely fantastic!
I absolutely love this router. I bought the Slate 7 for a travel router and was so impressed, I had to have Flint 3 for my main router. I used to have a Firewalla Gold I loved, but when I switched to 5G home internet instead of cable, the cellular router could no longer be installed in the he middle of our hose, so we lost the ability to use the Firewalla and my centrally managed WiFi access points. It was a tough puzzle to solve if I wanted any controls over the ISPs router and limited capability. Here’s where the Flint 3 just rocks. I could either ride the existing WiFi signal, and add the GLiNET router as a drop in gateway or create a separate WiFi network, Addis security, as blocking and a host of other capabilities, while still tunneling through the AISPs router and WiFi. Absolutely genius. I can now do 95% of what I lived about the Firewalla again over WiFi. What a great product!!! Our home is a 2800 sqft single story and zero connectivity issues. I had to mount the Flint 3 high on a bookshelf to avoid dips in coverage at the outer edges of our home, but that was an easy one to resolve. Too bad these are going to be banned in the US, because both this and the Slate 7 are awesome.

hardware and performance excellent
I waited a few weeks to get a good feel before writing review. Note, this is from the perspective of a IT network guy who needs nothing fancy other than stable and fast wifi while segregating IoT devices onto different subnet for security. As a replacement for my tried and true ASUS RT-AC68U running Merlin firmware, this thing is mostly good and gets the job done! Pros: 900mbps+ throughput is close to ISP limit of 1gbps up and down. 2.5gbps ethernet ports, if you care about big internal file transfers. Admin UI is very clean (OpenWRT based) and good for beginners. Stable and strong signal distance coverage, about same as my old ASUS. Two subnets are allowed. One for LAN, one for Guest network. Each is assigned different IP range with DHCP server. This is actually brilliant because you can enable Guest on 2.4, 5, 6ghz ranges and they will all be on the same Guest network. Cons: Even with Luci admin UI installed, it really lacks easy access to advanced settings like real-time CPU stats, network throughput, etc. Yes you can find some of that by clicking around, but not very cohesively. Wifi7 is disabled by default in OpenWRT. Luci's wifi channel analysis also does not work at all. It just scans forever and then session expires even when you are actively using it.
