5 Stars Plus, Amazing Coffee Every Day
After 8 months of personal use, we could not be happier with the Ninja Luxe Café Pro Series Espresso Machine. It makes amazing coffee, espressos, and lattes, and we have had absolutely no problems with it. The built-in grinder, integrated tamper, and hands-free frother make it so easy to create café-quality drinks at home. We have only had to descale it once in 8 months, which has been a pleasant surprise. It also has a beautiful appearance and looks great sitting on the counter. Overall, this machine has exceeded our expectations. We give it 5 stars plus!

My non techy husband makes his first cup on video.
I love this machine! After two years of researching, even trying out different machines, this one is perfect! I got the upgraded ES701 series and am glad I did. I am a big coffee ninja fan and this one replaced my Ninja Coffee Bar that I have used for years, but the water tank leaks when removed and it is harder to find parts now for that model. This machine grinds your beans, tamps the coffee by a lever, allows you to make expresso, double expresso to multiple size coffees or cold brews from 6 oz up to 18 oz large cups (remove the bottom plate for jumbo cups), froths and self rinses without disassembling. It is easy and amazing. In the video I walked my husband through the steps prior to filming and show him making his first cup of coffee. He is NOT techy! You can grind your beans or use preground coffee. This morning I used mushroom coffee. Everyone can finally be a barista! The rubber mats in my photos are not included but you can find on Amazon. I love this has a removable water tank in case your overhead cabinets prevent you from getting a water pitcher under them to fill. Our coffee bar is not near sink and this was one of the problems we had with another unit we tried with a water tank that could not be removed. It also has a side storage door to store unused expresso equipment. This unit addressed all of our wishes!! Pricey yes, the most I have ever paid for a coffee maker, but worth it!

Best coffee machine I’ve ever owned (and I’ve had a few!)
I researched extensively before buying this espresso machine. I came across a number of reports of defective machines but decided to take a chance based on Ninja’s reputation. I’m so glad I did! The machine is extremely solid and well built. It can make everything from regular coffee to espresso to iced coffees. This is a very sophisticated machine and reading the manual is essential for a good result. The coffee produced smells and tastes amazing. The milk frother works better than any frother I’ve had before. The bean hopper holds a large amount of coffee beans which I appreciate. I find the speed of the machine to be good and comparable to other espresso machines I’ve had. I’ve seen reports of the coffee produced being too hot or too cold but mine has been perfect for me for each type of drink. Given the many different types of coffee beverages this machine makes with ease, I highly recommend it. In fact, I went to stay with relatives for a month over the holidays and I took the machine with me!

A good foray into coffee
I'm very happy with this machine and its ability to make different types of coffee. I don't intend to use it for drip at all, but I've been using it for espresso-type drinks with excellent results. The fact that it makes brewing easy, while still keeping you mostly in control, mostly means you're learning about WHY something is working or isn't working. This machine helps you tweak temperature, strength, and extraction separately. You get guidance, but it's up to you if you listen to it based on what you're trying to extract. Is it perfect? No. It's not meant to be, though. It's meant to be convenient for a beginner. That said, it's expensive, but you do get good functionality for that price. I wanted something that wouldn't take away my ability to tweak, in case I got more into espresso, but if I decided not to I could still get good coffee. This delivers.

The Tamper Makes This a No-Go for the "Pros"
I couldn't stand the tamper. I thought getting the version with the built-in tamper would make things easier, less messy, but I didn't think I would have to sacrifice the quality of the shots for it. I am no coffee expert, but I have seen enough coffee content to know that you want your puck of coffee to be evenly dense and flat. The way the coffee grounds are despensed, they end up in a little mountain in the porta filter, but the front side of the filter has less coffee than the back side. The porta filter is stuck in its spot until you tamp bc otherwise tons of grounds will fall out if you try to pull it out to evenly spread out the grounds. So you have to tamp it with this uneven mountain of grounds. Every puck I ever tested would have a soft spot on the front where there were less grounds. This will cause channeling, causing your shot to be under extracted. Not very "pro." I thought maybe my countertop was sloped, so I checked it and nope. Perfectly level. I added a ruler under the back feet to tilt the machine forward slightly; which helped the grounds distribute better, but it wasn't a complete fix and not a permanent solution. I would perfer the manual tamping version of the machine so that I can evenly spread the grounds before tamping. Also, I think something was wrong with the system that reads the grinder. Everytime I unplugged the machine (because I have limited outlets) and then plug it back in, it would change what grind setting it said it was on. Example: I use the machine and it says grind size 18, recommended size 18. I unplug, but leave the machine untouched and in the same place. I plug it back in and it says its set to grind size 17, but recommends 18. The machine wasn't reset; it remembered all its previous recommendations and settings, but it would say the grind size was one off from where I left it. This meant I was constantly changing the grind setting and the recommendations were always changing, even when I was making the same thing with the same beans. I did like the barista assist technology. I wouldn't have had a clue on where to set the grind size without that. I loved the auto frother. I could just set my milk to frother and I could walk away and do something else while the machine worked. Its pretty cool that you can change out the filter size (single, double, quad basket) and the machine would just know which one you were using. It looked nice on my counter top. Most parts of the machine felt sturdy and high quality. But, a few more cons: the warmer on top never felt more than barely warm. Couldn't really warm anything. I don't know if this was a flaw of my particular machine or if this model just doesn't warm much. The drip tray at the bottom is too small and pretty annoying. I was making 2 drinks a day, using the milk frother, and it seemed like every 2-3 days I had to empty the drip tray. Its a wide flat tray with multiple holes on top, plus water can leak from the sides. So, you have to carry it very carefully to not slightly tip it or let the water slosh much because water would drip out. If this was a once a week or every other week task, it wouldn't bother me so much, but doing it 2-3 times a week got annoying fast. I saw one guy rig his up with a tube that he ran to the sink so that he wouldn't really have to empty the tray, but my machine was nowhere near my sink unfortunately. Overall, I liked the machine, but I couldn't get past the tamper, especially since I felt like I upgraded to the "pro" version but felt like I got a massive down grade instead. I am going to get the non-pro version with the manual tamper and I guess I will just deal with getting a few coffee grounds on my countertop rather than sacrifice my shot quality. If you are someone who isnt picky at all and doesn't really notice the nuances of quality and you just want the easiest most stress free espresso machine, then I would recommend this machine. If you are someone who ever tastes something and you feel dissatisfied enough to say something to a waiter or barista, to just throw it away rather than consume it, or maybe if you are more into coffee and maybe want to make a bit of a hobby out of it, I would not recommend this particular model, but maybe the non-pro version.

Perfect for all coffee needs
I LOVE THIS THING. These ate my takeways so far Pros: -Takes out guesswork in measurements and no technique required -Built in tamper is very helpful -Versatile coffee and frothing styles -Built in storage for baskets and accessories -Luxe basket for brewing 2 drinks at one time -Self cleaning steam wand -Indicators for easy maintainance (more beans, empty water tray, etc.) -Comes apart for easier cleaning -Adjustable stand for espresso cup -Very large water reservoir Cons: -Cold brew is not instantaneous-It brews in small amounts every 20seconds or so instead of all at once -May be noisy to some-beeps every time a process is done, grinder loud, loud brewing -It is quite large and heavy so you will need adequate space and can’t be moved easily -Cant fit all baskets in the storage or portafilter when not in use

We love this machine
I went to Walmart one day for a few items and passed this Ninja Pro Luxe espresso maker. I came home and told my husband about it and he said to order it. When it came and we opened it, I gotta say it was pretty intimidating. It scared me to death thinking we would never figure this out. We read all the instructions on it and started experimenting and to our surprise it was so easy. We are fans of what I call designer coffee. It makes the best Lattes. Even as good or better than what you buy at the coffee shops. We will no longer spend our money on coffee out. We have really enjoyed it. DO NOT BE INTIMIDATED BY THIS MACHINE. You will be amazed at how easy it is to use.

Greatest coffee any way you like it!
It is the best coffee machine I’ve ever had and I’ve had a rainbow of them however it could do better on the Crema of the espresso as it is not very cream thick, but everything else is great especially the frother, it takes away that has work to make great cappuccinos and incredible chilled coffee drinks! The materials of it look really good even though it’s not stainless steel the whole thing and it does have several parts that are made out of PVC. I think the cost is a little high, but I guess with everything that it comes with, including the semi automatic tamper is also a super convenient feature, you can see it’ll last you for years. The only downside to it is that the use of water is quite a lot so you have to be emptying the tray constantly after you make around to good drinks. I think ninja should look into integrating a rubber doing for discharging this water into your sink and that would solve the problem! The coffee quality depends on what coffee beans you use but as far as functionality with the beans, it’s great the brew speed, coffee, quality, and heat level of it are great as well. The capacity you get on each beverage is also great and especially by the fact that you can choose from Ristretto, espresso, Lungo and Americano among other to choose from. It also gives you automatically the number that you should match to the machines suggestion in order to have the perfect grind for your choice of drink. Last but not least it comes with Storage for your coffee, tools so they are entirely hidden from site inside the machine on the right side. The only downside this machine has is the fact that it accumulates a lot of water as the byproduct of making the different coffee choices. It should come with a drain tube to go directly into the sink or spout! The counter space it takes is a little bit chunky but against having an espresso machine and a drip coffee machine it’s a win-win! I think it’s a great upgrade from the last Ninja, but the pro series is incredible!

Simplesmente perfeita — virou meu café preferido todos os dias!
A Ninja Luxe Café Pro Series superou todas as minhas expectativas. Recomendo demais. Vale cada centavo!
