Perfect for Carrying my Meds
I am an extremely forgetful person. I have to take meds daily multiple times a day but I also have two very curious. I am able to carry my meds around with peace of mind neither of them will get into them and accidentally ingest my meds. The mechanism on it to unlock was a little hard at first but it loosened up over time.

Big and childproof
Very nice! Very big. Alot bigger than I thought it would be but that's my mistake for not closely reading the description. I bought the medium sized when I could have bought the small. But it seems to be very sturdy and childproof which it what I was looking for after an accidental ingestion!

Teeny Tiny
I was looking for a small pill keeper that I hang on a chain around my neck. This item was a good size, however, when I received and opened it the opening was so small there was no way I could fit my 2 small pills in it. It might be good teeny tiny pills like nitroglycerin. I cannot comment on its durability as I have used it.

Keeps people honest
I bought this solely for my medication and unfortunately I have a roommate in my house that has sticky fingers. I've been super paranoid about him taking my medication or just taking a couple as it is high risk for being stolen. I got really tired of carrying my purse around with me everywhere in my own home and having a straight up heart attack when I accidentally left it in a room where he had a chance to take it. If any of my medication is stolen I cannot function. I am confident this is the answer to my problem. If somebody finds this, they can get into it easily with a hammer. But if you have a problem with pilfering or fear of, this might be a good option. I have tested the locking mechanism and I can't get into it without the actual key. I would need a few hours to pop it open with no evidence left. I've included photos of the pins inside and the way the key has different depth of notches... So you know if someone happens to try to put the end of a pen into it to unlock (its wider than most pens anyways) it will not unlock because some of the pins aren't even pushed down, and some are halfway. If you are worried about a person being able to open it if they just buy one of these sets of keys my honest guess is to say that they are manufactured the same considering the price. I will be buying another one of these and I will test that out and update when I do. But I would assume that they are all the same keys. This is not a magic safe. If someone is intent on getting into they will. I think even if you go with the stainless steel option they can still get in (I'm sure its even more difficult with stainless steel.) It just depends on your situation. If you have a situation like mine where you know they wont take it if there is evidence, it will keep them honest. I like that this is a black bottle as well so it is hard to see instead of a bright orange medication bottle. The plastic is thick and I'm confident you would need to smash it to get it open. I noticed a review saying that the tabs didn't work and you could just twist it open when its locked if you press down hard enough... I have tested this and my theory is they either had a defective bottle or they did not place the cap on correctly. It took me a while to understand how to lock and unlock it. And you can actually put the cap on in the wrong place and also turn the key. It doesnt actually lock but the cap stays in place so you think its good. To lock and unlock it there is a line on the cap that you line up with one on the bottle. It took me a few minutes before a figure that out and I was about to be mad about it like it wasn't working... Because it is a little confusing before you get the hang of it. Because when you unlock it to open it up you twist the cap and then the lines are not together anymore. So you cant just stick the keys back in to lock it even if you didn't even remove the cap. You have to lift the cap off (because you can't twist it back) and realign it. These is perfect for my situation and I'm very happy with it

A little rough at first, but smooths out
It was difficult to open the first time, but after a few opens/closes it smoothed out. Has a nice rubber O-ring that fits very tight (will wear in nicely). It has a disc-like thingy that is blocked/unblocked which acts as a lock/unlock. Pretty standard looking 7 pin tubular lock. Should also be fun for locksport (tubular lock pick). This thing is heavy and attracts attention. It looks like a pipe with a weird cap on the end. If you take this through an airport you WILL be stopped and asked to open (or they might just freak out). Probably leave this at home. Same with any type of security checkpoint: this is so cool/weird looking that EVERYONE will want to see what is inside of it (police/security/TSA/bomb squad/other people in line panicking). Basically it looks like a pipe bomb. It's good for locking up pills to keep away from bad grandchildren. Travelling with it, or even having it in your car WILL cause you issues. It has a very open keyway track that the pins are in. Fun to pick. Very good quality. Very tight fit on the lid. The actually tubular lock is loose in the lid, but that doesn't affect function. No, this is NOT waterproof (water would go in through/around the tubular lock) but it does have an o-ring that makes the cap fit tightly. Again, do NOT try to bring this on a plane. You will make the newspapers: "Crazy guy tries to hide drugs in a fake pipe bomb and sneak it on a plane. He was later released after missing his flight."

DO NOT BUY
I have issues with missing meds in the home, or incorrect count. I purchased this, as it seemed like the most secure bedside pill bottle available. It is quite heavy, but that lends to its strength, however I would not carry this in my handbag. I purchased a pill fob that I wear around my neck with the key to this lock on the same chain. This pill locking box is a little difficult to open and you do need to jiggle the key, then turn it. Twist the container and it will open. When closing, place the key into the open position, and align the lid line with the container line, turn the key to lock and remove key. It takes a little practice, but it's worth it. No portable lock is 100%, but for my needs, this is the best I have come across to date. I'm very happy with this product, but be prepared for a little jiggling. I hope this helps me and you. UPDATE: Today, I was having an especially tough time locking the cap on, and I heard something fall to the carpet. I didn't see what fell and couldn't find it. I went to the bureau and more of those "things" fell out, they were pins inside the lock. I don't know how many I lost or what order they would go in for the lock to be used, so this lock was in essence totally useless to me. I had to throw it out. I haven't had it that long. Fortunately for me I have another, so I have one to use while I shop for another. I removed two stars for this. UPDATE: Ok, the second one I had purchased, the locking mechanism had loosened and wobbled like the first one did. It's only a matter of time before the ball bearings fall out again. Although the stainless steel bottle and lock are high quality, the assembly is of the lowest workmanship and this bottle will fall apart in just a matter of hours. I'm done buying this and would remove all the stars if I could. DO NOT BUY.

Beware when choosing the sizes. See review for details
This is a very sturdy, heavy metal bottle. It is very easy to use to get in and out of it. It is sealed with a gasket in the lid. It is great for security when traveling. Designed very well for usability. ****please note when ordering the sizes. I ordered a large size thinking it was the size of a normal pill bottle. You can put a normal bottle inside of this travel bottle, It’s perfect though

Prescription bottles don't fit inside
The price is way cheaper than at stores. I saw the exact same thing for $15 at kroger. Unless you want to dump all your medications into it and keep it standing upright at home, it's not really worth it. Getting a small lockbox is a better idea if you want to keep your medications in it with the original bottle, as most local laws require. I wanted to throw a small prescription bottle in it and keep it in my work bag. Because of the child resistant tabs and lid, none of my smallest pill bottles would fit. I eventually cut the tabs off a pill bottle and placed it inside, but can't use the lid. The lock is actually really good. The container has lines on the lid and bottle, making it easy to line up the lid. I also like the markings for the key on the lid that show the direction to lock and unlock it. I just wish it was big enough to hold the pill bottles. It works fine to toss emergency meds in, but I highly suggest keeping the original container close by if it's a prescription medication that is being secured, to save the hassle from law enforcement if they find it. If it fit prescription bottles I would give it five stars.

Not good quality
Just plastic so easy to break, the lock is very heavy and difficult to open. Very overpriced.

Mixed review / Love it / Had an issue
I really liked this product when I received it and it worked perfectly so I decided to order another 2. The next one I opened has a jiggly lock which doesn't appear to have been installed correctly. I have yet to open the last one but I'm hoping for the best. It is a very cool locking container.

Not worth the money at all
It is “head heavy , off balance and more importantly , it’s a plastic box with a steel lock and that is that

Lots of room inside and lock is very secure
The bottle is great for locking up prescription pills that you don’t want to go missing. Yes, someone could just take the whole bottle but that would be noticed. It’s made of a solid plastic that wouldn’t be broken easily and the lock is nice and secure and the lid feels like it’s on tightly and wouldn’t easily come off with out the key.
