UBIA2100NI-New Wadsworth Type A Replacement. Two Pole 100 Amp Circuit Breaker Manufactured by Connecticut Electric.

After our main breaker went out, all the electricians told us “they don’t make breakers for those old boxes any more, you’ll have to get a new panel.” Fortunately I googled it, and found these from Connecticut Electric. Found an electrician willing to install it for $200 (don’t try doing this yourself without electrical knowledge and having the power company completely turn off power to the house since it’s the main breaker). $380 is way better than a new box for $2,000-$4,500. Now that the main is fixed, I can replace any of the other breakers myself if they ever go bad, again using other Connecticut Electric parts. We’ll have to replace the panel eventually, but this bought us a lot of time.

I bought this 100 amp, two pole breaker to put into an older Wadsworth panel to use as a feed to a 100 amp sub panel. I shopped around a good bit and this price was the same or best for a newly manufactured breaker. The delivery time was the best and when the breaker arrived, it was exactly what I needed. It fit perfectly and works like it should. Seems to be of great quality.
