Very short life span - one of the pens the light no longer works and another always gives the red/wrong answer every time.

I loved it but he liked to guess the wrong answer to laugh at the sound. Didn't work for us. Reverse learning. He guessed all but the correct answer and laughed.

This is the second power pen I purchased because my kids like them so much. I purchased this pen and it worked great, but a few months in, it started marking everything as wrong. Through Amazon, I was referred to Product Support and called the number to the manufacturer. Their customer service was excellent! An actual person picked up the phone (WOW!) and she got a new power pen to us within 48 hours... and this is during their busy season! I am so impressed that I will continue to purchase educational items from this manufacturer. What we bought from them has been generally good quality and, coupled with the customer service, they have a long term customer in me. Would definitely recommend.

I bought this and the corresponding math cards to prevent the "summer slide" for my elementary school aged kids. Unfortunately, after about a week ALL the answers are "correct" according to the pen which completely defeats the purpose. Since the pen is the only way to know which answer is correct, the kids can no longer practice their math facts on their own. Disappointing and a waste of money.

My foster child loves this. She can now work on math independently and know if she gets the correct answer. Awesome product
