UGREEN Mini DisplayPort to HDMI VGA Adapter 2 in 1

This adapter has met my needs perfectly. It has a simple plug-and-play design and a solid build quality. I haven't had a single problem with it since I purchased it. I currently use it with my MacBook Air and a 19 inch Dell monitor with VGA connection. Both devices connect to this adapter perfectly and the connections are snug. The adapter does have the holes built in for securing the VGA cable, if you prefer. However, I have never needed to use them. With regards to quality, there doesn't seem to be any signal loss or distortion across the adapter. I can't speak for high-end, high-resolution monitors, but my external display ran 1280x720 resolution just fine. Overall, this adapter is simple and problem free, and I would recommend it as a (much) cheaper alternative to purchasing a special monitor with a displayport connection.

Love that this little adapter has both hdmi and vga ports - some of the classrooms I present or teach in have different cables so its helpful to have the flexibility when I bring my surface pro. I was using an amazon basics adapter and for some reason it was quite finicky and wouldn't always work so I decided to give this product a try instead. Luckily their not expensive :) Cant yet comment on durability long term but so far so great!

This worked well for my mac. I was looking for something that would allow me to hook up to my monitor and this device was reliable. I had zero issues or complaints. I love that I could use HDMI or VGA. Having both came in handy especially those moments where I plugged into an older monitor that didn't have HDMI. Again I had zero issues. This product is a steal for under $15. If you are considering only getting the HDMI port I would suggest to get the Dual it isn't that bulky and like I said there was a couple of times I was helping a client out and plugged into an old monitor and I was glad I had it because I need two screens.

I’m giving this adapter 4 stars because after months of use, it’s worked phenomenally! Honestly, it’s a great product and I’m tempted to give it 5 stars, but I can’t say it’s perfect since it doesn’t allow me to connect my full monitor setup to my MacBook. The closest I’ve been able to come to dual screens since buying this is changing my MacBook’s display setting to extended screen and just use the small laptop screen and 1 external monitor. That said, I’ve had cheaper ones before (from Wally World & BB) and the connection goes bad after a couple weeks/months (color is off, static-ey connection, signal drops with the slightest vibration), but this adapter has given me no issues in the year or so of regular use! Good product, fair price, and I would recommend for anyone looking to buy!

Worked on my iMac desktop for a 2nd monitor setup! Plugged it into the port on the back of the iMac desktop with the thunderbolt symbol, then plugged the HDMI adapter that was attached to my Samsung monitor into the HDMI slot on this dongle and the 2nd monitor screen popped up right away and I was able to drag from the iMac screen to the Samsung screen without even changing any of my settings. I haven't tested the audio -- not sure if this particular combination allows for audio but I don't really need it for my purposes anyways -- just happy it worked so easily for adding a 2nd monitor to my iMac computer!

I happen to have just bought a new iMac, but I wanted to add a second display. I also happen to own a smallish VGA display of 720p resolution, and a 23 inch 1080p with HDMI. At first I looked at buying two different cables, just in case I wanted to connect either of the displays to my new machine. But then I saw this adapter, that could conceivably be used to connect either of my monitors to my iMac via thunderbolt. And it cost what a single one of those cables would have! So for me, it was a no brainier. The cable seems well made, sturdy and elegant. It comes with gold plated terminals. It connects easily and snugly to either VGA or HDMI cables, which means I can now use my iMac with either type of monitor, and it works beautifully with my Mac, from the second I plugged it in, wihout a single hiccup so far. I have only owned this adapter for only a few days, but I think it's pretty much perfect. It's kind of a shame that it doesn't do 4K, but frankly, I don't see myself spending big bucks on a 4K display any time soon, so this is not a huge deal for me. Just be aware that it's got a maximum resolution of 1920x1080. All in all, I am extremely satisfied with this device.

It works great! I was a little nervous because it wasn't right from apple. Not that I have to get items of brand, just a lot of times little products like these have technical issues or break very easily. But, it worked great with technology, it's just the matter of how long it will last. Totally recommend buying this product! (Note: If you read bad reviews: VGA does not provide sound already, tis why they created HDMI so that you can show video and sound, and if you don't own a computer with a mini DP then you shouldn't buy this product.... okay got that out of my system).

We ordered this to help with live stream broadcasts on a 2012 Mac Pro, with OBS Studio software, so our performer could use one display and his producer (me) could use another, all on the same computer. The first attempt to use it was with an older square monitor, and we didn't think it was working (computer kept shutting down). The monitor needs to be the same aspect ratio to look right (rectangular vs square). Once we did that, and turned off the printer, the device worked perfectly.

Really good build quality and works wiwithout hassle on the surface pro 4. It's plug and play. Haven't got a 4k or 1440p display to check what it's output is like on those but has worked flawlessly on various 1080p displays and projectors. The fact it combines VGA and HDMI into one compact adapter is incredibly useful. Overall a fantastic buy and well worth the price. I ended up buying 2! One for my surface pro dock at home and one to take with me to various client sites when giving presentations.
