Is the top smooth so that my boys could draw on a piece of paper...or is it more bumpy/textured? Thanks!

It is great for crafts, coloring, finger painting and drawing. There is a bit of texture, non skid. It stores so easily as well. My 16 month old grandson loves it.

We just received this and the umbrella doesn't fit in the hole. I'm afraid to force it. Anyone else have this issue?

I bought this table for my granddaughter last year and yes, the umbrella was hard to fit in the hole at first. I went ahead and forced it through. I think it is made that way so that the umbrella doesn't lean when in place. I have even removed it several times and put it back in without any problems.

Can the umbrella be removed for use indoors?

Absolutely, the umbrella just pulls up and out. The table folds easily for storage as well.

Mine is the junior size table and I would say it is lime green and blue but not turquoise blue.
