Good quality
I started greying at an early age. I now have a full head of grey hair. I have been using this hair color for years and it never fails to deliver. It leaves my hair soft and evenly colored. I would not switch to any other brand. Very pleased

Works well
I have been using this dye for a few years now. It covers my greys, easy to apply, and has a good price. I also like it doesn't smell super chemical like other dyes. Only downside is the gloves: I have hands the size of a kid, so it makes a mess if I use those. Best to have your own gloves that fit to avoid the mess.

Great Buy
I have very thick hair and a lot of it, so I bought this set as it came with two, just in case I ran out. I would have only needed one if I didn't go crazy with lathering it into my hair, but I used the second for my eye brows. It smelt fine when it was in my hair, but it gave me a small headache when I did my eye brows. I used chapstick around my hair and brow lines to keep my skin was getting too strained. But all I need to do was take a washcloth that was wet with hot water and rub it off. It went on evenly and I really like the color.

Soft black? More like greenish brown. Yikes
Wow. Where do I begin? I have been buying Garnier soft black for a few years now and I was very happy with it. Colored my hair well and looked nice. Faded a nice color too. When I bought this recently, there was some big changes. The solution was harder to squeeze out of the tube was one thing I noticed. The dye itself is very thick now. It wasn’t easy to mix it in the bottle. I had to actually mix it in a bowl. The dye was developing into a nasty looking greenish brown color instead of a dark brown color. I thought this was a bad batch until I saw that it was improved, so I was thinking it was going to develop the nice dark color. I was absolutely wrong. My roots were a diarrhea green looking color. The dye is not only an ugly color now, it doesnt dye very well either. I decided against dying my brows this time because I was losing more faith that this would turn out well, and thank heavens I didn’t. My skin was still stained this nasty diarrhea color even after a couple of days. I quickly found another box dye that is almost the same color as the old formula. I much prefer the old Garnier formula because the smell was less strong and it wasn’t as liquidy as this other dye I found. The other dye I used to fix the green is L’oreal Superior Preference in soft black. Keeping my finger crossed that this can be my new dye replacement because I doubt Garnier will go back to the old formula. I firmly believe that Garnier did not do any quality check before introducing this god-awful new formula. The box said that the color was “improved”. What an absolute load of bull. Their soft black is now more of a greenish brown. Like, how do you mess that up? I noticed it’s now vegan, which is cool, but I’d rather have the old formula back. TL;DR: Don’t buy the soft black color, it’s a ugly greenish brown due to a formula change. I used L’Oreal Superior Preference in Soft Black 3 to fix this green nastiness. EDIT 2024: DONT BUY THE L’OREAL EITHER, THEY JUST CHANGED THE FORMULA TOO AND IT SUCKS. GRRR WHY CHANGE FORMULAS FOR STUFF THAT IS FINE.
