Review: This is the Best Product for Keeping Flies Off Your Pet - This is the only fly repellant I have found that actually works. I have tried several different sprays and creams and none of them worked for more than a couple hours. My poor Akita's ears were getting so eaten up, it was awful. She hates it when I bring her inside, but it was to the point I didn't have a choice but to keep her in because the flies would swarm her so bad. These collars keep the flies away like nothing else. I used them last summer and her ears healed quickly. I just ordered more for this year so we can stop the problem before it starts. She's an Akita, so she's a large dog and this fits well. Yes it has a strong smell, but she doesn't seem to mind it. It lasts for a couple months, so it's well worth the money. I will always have one of these on hand for her in the warmer months because it lets her enjoy the outside without having to worry that she's getting eaten alive.

These do not stay on the dogs! They just have a snap to hold them on and either the snap doesn't stay closed or the dog can rub up against things and get them loose. However, the smell does keep the flies away if you can keep it on your dog.
