Review: Great series - Great series Review: A great throwback in time to when T.V. was actually enjoyable to watch - Having seen so many episodes of Magnum P.I. in syndication, I wanted to finally watch the series from beginning to end to see the entire story as it was meant to be told. When I saw this complete series marked down for sale by desertcart, I seized the opportunity. No regrets. I have just completed Season 1 and there have been no major issues with the quality of discs nor the picture quality - some occasional skips in the playback, but nothing major. A fun show to watch which brings back fond memories of the 80's. The last time this was shown on TV as repeats, the episodes were grainy and hard to watch. The color on this version is clear and crisp. It brings out the beauty of the island. The audio was consistent and did not make me turn the volume down when a machine gun was being fired or during a car chase. I've only watched the 2 part pilot so far. The pilot had a different theme song, and had Judge Reinhold in a small part. According to the dvd box, this also has several bonus features. A Murder She Wrote crossover Magnum on Ice, and an episode from Knight Rider, The A-Team and Rockford files. Also some episode commentaries.
