Amazing Big Time Saver!
I have had this litter bot for more than a year now and it has been working wonderfully for my 1 cat! I’m very satisfied with it! --------------- PROS: - Many self-cleaning options: You can set it to automatically clean every x amount of time, or x amount of time after your cat went, or manual if you’re scared of your cat getting stuck. There’s also an empty option to empty out the soiled litter to clean out the robot. - Good Sensor: I tested by putting my foot where the tray and dome meet when it’s cleaning and it was able to detect my feet even when the machine barely touched it! It also backed out when it detected it hit something. I think it also detects when a cat is peeking into it as well since I noticed it stopped when my cat pokes his head a bit far to look inside. - Easy to Clean: It’s very easy to take apart to clean the dome. The top hood and the base can’t be sprayed with water according to the manual, so you can just wipe those down. - App tracking: The app can tell you when the tray is full, when filter needs replacement, when litter needs replacement, when your cat pooped/peed, your cat’s weight, and the environment in the litter box. It can also detect multiple cats but I only have 1 so not too sure about that. - No Smell: It significantly decreased the smell when compared to my old open litter box! It still depends greatly on the quality of your litter though, as I bought cheaper litter and it smelled. - Cat Approved: it was very easy for my cat to transition into using this litter robot! Might depend on the cat though. CONS: - Hard to move around/carry: If you need to move this around, it will be very hard because of its round shape. It’s difficult to move it around without it tipping or falling. This is probably a 2 person item. - App tracking can be misleading at times: I noticed that sometimes it showed him peed when he actually pooped, and pooped when he actually peed… so I don’t think I would trust this too much, but the rest seems accurate. - Big & bulky: It’s pretty big and I sometimes move between houses along with my cat, so sometimes I wished I got a smaller one so I can put it in my car. But that’s alright, since I bought a regular closed litter box to move around when I’m away from my main place. - Litter can get stuck on the ceiling & crevices inside the robot: This happens when it spins, and it also has some screws in there that I noticed can be a soiled litter magnet. I would recommend cleaning the dome by itself with a hose every few weeks to prevent this. - May require stairs for the cat: I feel like the entrance is a little high up, so This is probably not ideal for older cats unless you buy them the stairs. My cat is not old but I bought him a stepping stool to help, which is a lot more affordable than the brand’s stairs. --------------- The cons I listed weren’t particularly deal breakers for me since I mostly cared about how it cleans and its safety features for my cat! Tips: It was easy for my cat to transition to the new litter robot, but here are some tips. I put his old litter into the new robot so it has his scent on it. I put it where his old litter box was. I also carried him to it and placed him inside to smell it. Lastly, I sat with him while he was looking at it when it’s cleaning so he knows that it’s harmless. Overall, I would 100% recommend this self-cleaning litter robot!

One of the best appliances in my house!
I've had my catlink litter box for just over two years. It was very easy for my cats to adapt to using this, although I ended up buying a small step stool to assist them getting in and out of the litter box. The app is very user friendly and it's easy to manage/keep track of the status of my litter box and is pretty accurate. I really appreciate how relatively inexpensive the litter bags and filters are. I'm sure you could use other types of trash bags, but I like to use theirs specially for the fit, durability, and ease of cleaning. Ever since we got this litter box, you can't even tell we have cats in the house. It controls odor very well! Additionally my husband and I both have cat allergies and cleaning litter boxes the traditional way would always give us allergic reactions. It's been heavenly not having to do it manually and has made us and our cats more comfortable. Lastly CATLINK's customer service is truly exceptional. This is a company you want to support and buy from. I ran into a small issue with my litterbox and even though it's past its warranty, they were willing to still send me a replacement part. I almost cried because treatment like that is rare. They really do stand by their product and they care immensely about their customers. I give my highest recommendations to buy this product!

Must-have for Cat Lovers!
This machine is such a great help with my furry friend! It is so convenient to be able to change her box weekly, by simply taking out the bag without having to dig and scoop. It also keeps track of kitty's usage, alerting me of potentially bad issues. Additionally, the smell is suppressed, even more so with the right litter! I am truly pleased with this machine! It does not take up a great deal of space, and is easy to clean!

Flabbergasted... Dishonest Selling Practices? + Product works (mostly) BUT terrible design
Originally came to review the pros and cons of this litter box since I've had it for over a year now (purchased June 2023), and I own 2 of these for my 3 cats. That may be surprising since we all know the # of cats + 1 litter box rule... but I discovered it works surprisingly well, and I was able to save on litter box space within my apartment (just means I need to dump the litter box more often). But I digress. I realized something quite disappointing: when I was trying to find the product I ordered, I realized the company has quite a few listings for what seems like the same product... all at different prices. Just try searching "CATLINK Self Cleaning Automatic Litter Box for Cats" on Amazon and you will see what I mean. At time of writing, one product listing is advertised at $380, another at $419, and this one at $469. There are no discernable differences between any of them. They all describe the product as "CATLINK Pro X" at some point, with various similar descriptors like Luxury / Upgrade / New to make it that much more confusing. I don't know about you, but finding this out just left a bad taste in my mouth. Feels too much like they're trying to cheat their customers. Who knows if they're simply taking returns and reselling them at a lower price under a different SKU. Either way, I don't think customers deserve to be deceived like this. Especially given when you buy something at this price point, you could basically buy something like a small iPad or Nintendo Switch. Prior to finding the above out, I had intended to rate this 3 stars based on my 1 year+ experience with the product. Here are the original pros and cons I planned to share: PROS - Definitely saves time if you are moving from manually cleaning the litter box every day to a litter robot. The biggest and most obvious pro, I think. But is this the best litter robot if you're in the market for one anyway? I don't know. - Automatic cleaning after a cat does its business is pretty reliable (99% of the time). Occasionally, I will find a dump that for some reason didn't make it into the waste drawer after a clean cycle, but usually manualy initating the clean procedure solves that as it falls in without issue. - App doesn't do all the fancy stuff you see on the product page (the poor English doesn't help, UX is just alright) but it does let you initiate manual cleans and change the robot settings right from your phone, so that's nice. Also I wouldn't consider it 100% accurate, but for the most part, you can see when a cat uses the litter box. I basically don't check this regularly though, as I don't have much need for that information. - Isolates waste smell pretty effectively. My cats have aged out of the stinky kitten poop stage, but we can still when they've gone. So we definitely notice that after the robot runs the clean cycle, the smell also goes away. - When the litter is emptied from the robot, it's overall not that heavy to move, which is convenient if you need to put it in a different room or are moving homes. CONS - There are ZERO grip holds anywhere on the darn thing. This may seem like a minor/unnecessary thing, and I'm sure that's why whoever designed this overlooked it. But honestly, the longer I own this, the more I realize WHAT A PAIN having a cumbersome, unwieldy litter robot like this is, ESPECIALLY WHEN YOU NEED TO CLEAN OR MOVE IT. Instead, any time I try to pick up the robot or tilt it back to get a better angle for cleaning the waste drawer interior or inside the dome, the "cover" always pops off so easily, making it extremely frustrating. I have no idea why it's not designed to be latched with a lock mechanism or something to keep it from popping off with the slightest upward pressure. Probably the company just trying to save money, if I had to guess. There is basically NO reason to have the cover be so easily removable, since any cat owner would not have a need to remove the cover on a daily or even monthly basis. It's not even something that helps with regular light cleaning/maintenace of the product, because it just reveals the spinning dome piece and if you ever wanted to strip down the product and completely clean every piece, then maybe you'd want to do pop off the cover... but if you're just trying to do an occasional deep clean WITHOUT disassembling the product, it's totally irrelevant. I do not want to have to grab a screwdriver, pop off the cover, disassemble the dome halves, just so I can wipe down the inside??? Literally, give me a handhold I can use it to tilt the robot back and just simply reach in and wipe the interior... So in terms of cleaning and ease of maintenace, I'd give this 0 and negative stars if I could. For the amount of money I've spent, I would hope to use this product for many years, and I don't want years of filth accumulating in the interior of the robot that could negatively impact my cats and my health. Naturally, regular cleaning/maintenace of the product would prevent that but in my experience, the sheer unwieldiness and almost *fragility* of the product design makes doing so just an unbelievably frustrating endeavor. This product feels like cheaply put together plastic pieces with some things screwed down and other things flimsly attached (like the cover) which makes a cat owner trying to figure out how to best clean it extremely frustrated and spending more time than they'd want. I sometimes wonder if all the time I saved manually scopping is taken back with my Sisyphean efforts just to clean/maintain this darn thing. - The app supposedly alerts you when the litter box is full, but it is not reliable in my experience. Many times, it alerted me too late, and with waste spilling over in the drawer, I had to spend more time trying to clean the interior, which again, is annoying and painful because of the poor product design (no way to easily manuever the product for cleaning). Sigh, I am really disappointed.

So convenient!
Waited over a year to write my review! This litter robot has been nothing short of amazing! It makes life so much easier with one less task to do and has been working great! No major complaints so far. I have set it to timed cleanings and literally can forget about it until trash day. Multi-cat friendly. I have two kitties who use it with no issue. It tracks and logs which cat used it and for how long - which is great to monitor their health. Safety feature is great. One of my cats hops into it mid cycle on multiple occasions and it immediately stops and sends an alert to my phone. We lost a little part of it during our move. The company has its own website where I was able to easily order this spare part from and at a reasonable price. Cons: Not a lot - but they are a bit annoying. The main drum has a lot of crevices and joints. This makes it a little hard to fully clean unless you are okay with taking apart all the little screws each time. I just hose it down instead of taking it apart. I have not been able to pair this device with more than one phone at a time. If my husband pairs his phone with it, then I lose the connection and vice verse. Starts to gets smelly as the storage bin begins to fill up. With two cats, I empty the bin once a week. But the day before the cleaning is when the area around it starts to smell funky.

Well worth the investment
This litter box is amazing!! I purchased this litter box back in 2022. The customer service is wonderful—they actually follow up with you and try to fix the issue. I’ve used all kinds of litters but the main one I use now is the Pretty Litter Clumping, I just change it every 1-2 weeks but I have three cats. The Pretty Litter Clumping gets rid of the pee pee too instead of the pee pee just staying in there with the regular pretty litter. Just make sure if you use the pretty Litter Clumping you have it on auto. With the Pretty Litter Clumping if you have multiple cats it may settle to the bottom and need to be loosened. Other options for litter are to use Fresh Step Crystal litter or Scoop Away (The Purple). Out of all the litters I’ve used it’s done wonderful in moving it and getting the poop into the bin. I love the Wi-Fi compatibility. Having App control over the Catlink helps a lot when you have a sick kitty. You can put it onto manual mode and it will only spin when you tell it to. That way if you need a fecal sample it lets you. It tries to tell cats apart by weight but when you have twins that can be difficult lol It’s very sturdy! The top sometimes loosens but 9 times out of 10 it’s because I didn’t snap it in properly. In my opinion it was well worth the price overall and it’s been functioning since 2022 and never been out of commission! Customer Service helped me recently with the newer one I purchased last year and they were excellent. They called and emailed and kept checking in with me to make sure we got the problem resolved. Super friendly too! Overall I love Catlink and I’m never going back. The odor control is pretty good but I still change it once a week because I have three cats. It is big but if you find a spot for it then it’s really nice. I believe it makes the cat feel more comfortable because of the space. They can turn around and move inside of it. Changing the litter is super easy, just a little more effort with the Pretty Litter Clumping but that’s not the fault of the Catlink. This has literally been the best purchase I’ve made and it still keeps on working. Once every three months I will take it apart and hose just the sphere down and vacuum the base. The base is pretty solid to vacuum and go over with a damp cloth to keep it looking nice and clean. :) Also brownie points because it looks like a spaceship lol! Seeing my cats go in it makes me smile every time.

Makes life so much easier!
I’ve had this litter box for 2 years and it’s made life so much easier. I don’t have to worry about my three cats going outside of the litter box when it’s been soiled, because they use this and it dumps it right away! It even helped me identify a health issue with one cat due to increased litter box usage and time. That was very helpful! I would recommend this litter box to everyone to make life easier!

Up there with my washer and vacuum. Life Changer.
I have two cats (ages 6 and 11) and this Catlink litterbox completely changed my life and I tell everyone who owns a cat (or cats!) to get one right away. I used to scoop two litter boxes every single day. And they still smelled. That was 10 minutes out of my day plus an hour every week for removing the old litter and thoroughly cleaning the boxes. Now it takes less than 5 minutes total to just pull out and swap the trash bag! The bags are inexpensive. You will save a ton in litter and you can use your favorite brand. Super quiet and has lots of monitoring features if you are into that. My cats loved it from day 1 - maybe because it is always fresh and clean:)). I am SO grateful for this modern day litter box that is worth every penny.

Life changing - great experience for 2 cats
I’ve had this for one month and it’s been life changing so far. It is quite expensive, but I have two male cats that use the litter A LOT and this was the best decision ever. Gives me a week without having to clean it apart from the occasional stool that gets stuck on the silicone side and I just help it unstuck to be pushed down. But no more daily cleaning large scoops! No smell so far, very safe for them as it doesn’t close, and they used it immediately with no issues. I thought we may needed a step for our 7 month old but didn’t. After a few days it learned whether each cat was pooping or peeing and this is a great information to have. Very helpful if we’re travelling and whoever is coming to check on them doesn’t have to scoop everyday, just check if everything is ok with the machine. Negatives I can live with: Doesn’t work as well using tofu litter but works good enough. The sensor of amount of litter available isn’t great, sometimes says it’s low when it’s not and the other way around, but I keep an eye on it.
