They have very different bedtimes and school schedules. Plus, the older child is starting to want more alone time, and the younger doesn't always stay in bed (Autistic). This was an easy solution. We can zip the youngest in to ensure they stay put all night and the oldest can retreat for privacy whenever he needs. Turning on the light in the morning to wake the older for school no longer bothers the younger. Mismatched bedtimes don't result in interrupted sleep when the older goes to bed. They do get very warm inside, which isn't great this summer but will be wonderful in the winter.
