I order this to make my daughter’s birthday cake. I thought it was taste good because of all the reviews. Well, it was horrible. The frosting has an awful taste. It tastes like they put too many chemicals in it. What an awful after taste. Now I’m going to have to make my own which I was hoping to avoid. The canned frosting from the stores tastes 100% better than this crap. I am so disappointed. This company needs to rethink how they make their frosting. Do not purchase thing. It’s also very expensive.

I wish the price was lower, but was willing to pay it because I couldn’t find black frosting. The quality and how it spreads it great too

It was okay for what I needed to do, but I won't order it again. I appreciate the fact that it came with recipes for enhancing the flavor and/or stretching the amount of frosting. Straight out of the container, the white had a weird bitter aftertaste. If it were colored frosting I would think that that was the food coloring, but for white frosting I don't know where that taste came from. That said, when I followed your instructions for the "homemade flavor" recipe it tasted much better. It also gave me enough frosting to cover all of my cupcakes with a little bit left over. However, if I've got to do that much work to make it edible, I may as well just make my own buttercream which is what I will do in the future.

I needed black buttercream for a buttercream transfer. I've tried making it from scratch but have had problems getting the buttercream black enough. I've gotten it black enough by adding cocoa powder to black gel, but then the buttercream is too dry to pipe and crumbles. (The gel I had only got it to a gray color.) It was suggested I buy pre-made buttercream in black. I tried this product, and it tasted awful. It was a bit too soft and would bleed or spread into other colors made with my homemade buttercream. After freezing it, it crumbled around the edges. Between the bleeding and crumbling, the overall shape became distorted. Then It sweat when I took it out of the freezer and put it in the refrigerator after being transferred onto the cake. You can see these problems in this photo. The edging around the buttons isn't crisp. The ear shapes aren't fully round. You can see the edge crumbled in parts. The black buttercream is sweating while my homemade buttercream in red and yellow isn't. I'm not a master cake decorator by any means, but I thing this should have turned out better. Overall, I cannot recommend this. After my one cake, I tossed the rest of it. I can't use it on another cake. I was very disappointed.
