SAKURA XLP12(SA) 12-Piece Cray-Pas Expressionist Multi Cultural Oil Pastel Set, multicolor

I have happily purchased every version and size of Sakura Oil Pastels (and will continue to do so). The consistency of the oil pastel and its smoothness when working on canvas, wood panel, or paper always comes out looking nice, Which is why I decided to purchase the multi-cultural set. It is a nice variety of neutral colors that I often use every day. It is nice to see these colors cohesively packaged which allows me to think of color combinations and play with the set to achieve a myriad of blends. I use them for my abstract art work in different mediums (primarily acrylic). But they can be used for both drawing and painting. The price is great for those who want nice quality art supplies without the hefty price tag. Plus you are getting a decent size oil pastel as compared to some other brands that cost less. I sometimes use other brands for color variation when needed. But Sakura ranks at the top because of the way it makes my artwork have a more polished look to it.

Received the item fast and perfectly in tact. Color range is perfect for portraits. These Pastels are blendable but firm, not super creamy. They are a great value for the price in my opinion.

Very creamy, quality is outstanding and variety of skin tones is great. Value for the price is amazing. Very easy to blend colors. Thickness is good. This is can be used by kids and adults. I love art products from Japan. I wish Amazon would would supply more art supplies from Japan. There are some items from Japan that I would like to order but cannot. I don’t understand why. I would rather order more art supplies from Japan than china. The Japanese value quality more than anything else.

I really cannot afford more expensive brands and I get great results with these. Only thing is the dark blue, dark green and dark red are not very dark.

These feel high quality. The tones are exactly what I was looking for for personal projects.

These pastels are super creamy and rich. The pale colors aren't as intense as I thought they would be. But I also did not expect the opaqueness of the black. It's so dark and intense. I love it! The browns do not disappoint and I cannot wait to attempt a portrait with these.

These are not what I was expecting. They are not as creamy as expected. Next time I will just spend the money on a higher quality pastel.

The colors are beautiful! Using this product is so satisfying, because of how easy and durable they are. The color is stunning and the picture or final drawings are amazing with this product. Such a great performing product!
