So I purchased these to use alongside some 3/4inch 48-strand poly braided rope if I ever needed drastically more reach then what I have chains to cover which was just preventable maintenance as I call it. The rope itself is 250ft and rated at 25,000 pounds breaking strength, and I thought I was going to have to break out these snatch blocks and rope during the ice storm that TN got hit with this winter, but (THANKFULLY) never had a tree in a bad enough situation that required either. I must say though, when I bought these only costing $35 for a pair, I didn’t expect to be overwhelmed with their build quality upon arrival and boy was I pleasantly surprised! Honestly I don’t see how anyone can manufacture 2 of these things and still make $ while charging $35…? Because holding them it’s easy to tell they are super stout, and only because I’ve always tended to locate the weak point in just about EVERYTHING, mainly due to my own gross negligence by severely overloading stuff to a stupid level because for some reason I’m always end up in those “we are here and this is what we got to work with, so let’s get this thing out with 1/2 the equipment we truly need”. Heck I liked them so much I went ahead and pulled the trigger and ordered a second set Now once i actually pour the beans to these jokers I will edit this review with a “used by a real man in the real world” update.
