Gladiator 77" Wide Heavy Duty Rack with Four 24" Deep Shelves, GARS774XEG

I received item from seller after they told me it had been delivered in NC. Because of the lack of options offered by Amazon, I requested a return. IF you could TALK to Amazon, all issues could have been worked out. Try calling Amazon. When seller wanted to pick up item, I sent them an email asking them not to. My email was all in caps to emphasize NOT to pick up. Seller got butt-hurt and stated I SCREAMED and YELLED at them. I will not buy from this seller again. Product was easy to assemble. I assembled by myself with no help. It is very sturdy and will hold a LOT (not screaming/yelling) on the shelves. Finish on the shelves and supports is very good. The mats provided in the box are very helpful, but there needs to be two for each shelf. This is my third purchase of this unit.

These are very sturdy and surprisingly easy to put together. It says you should have 2 people to put it together, and that is a good suggestion, but I was able to do it by myself. There is only one thing that you might want to take notice of. The shelves are, as advertised, steel racks. That means that if you want a nice, flat surface you will need to put something on top of the shelf like a board or even some stiff, heavy plastic. It is perfect for my needs, holds tons of weight, and is great in the garage.

Item is awesome, looks great. You do need two people to set it up initially. Got the 77 inch version

Unfortunately this product came all dented and places that made it tough to assemble. This is our second set of Gladiator shelves, and the first time we have experienced a problem. This is very disappointing because they were very expensive.

Re: GARS774XEG: Overall I like these shelves and price point (except on this site). But, sometimes the shelf rails are a little too long and have to be hammered into place. A bigger problem is that someone in design or QA needs to be fired. There are sets of holes for adding (much needed) shelf supports on the rails. These holes are NOT symmetrically spaced...at least on the last 3 I bought. I don't remember having a problem on the other 6 I bought. The holes start on one end of the shelf rail at about 6.5" and at 7" from the opposing end. This means that the front and back rail holes (between the two rails) are not inline with each other, they are at an angle. This makes for a frustrating experience and looks stupid. In fact, I cannot even fully engage all 4 support rail pins into the holes on some of them. Some have only 3 pins engaged and that pushes the support up about 3/8" too high. I tried to tell Gladiator about this, but I'm sure this site won't let me say anything about that experience. The provided shelf screens are only of marginal stiffness and strength. This makes the above point very important as the screens provide no structural strength to speak of, they simply prevent items from falling to the floor. If you have any small and heavy items, be sure to lay plywood down on the shelves. Please get it together Gladiator.

this is the most amazing shelving unit i've ever owned. i feel i could sit a truck on this thing and it'd still hold. incredibly solid and huge. helped us organize our entire garage.

It’s ok but the brand is Edsal Sandusky and not Gladiator as advertised. We have other Gladiators that seem sturdier. This is also slightly smaller and was damaged at the top but it doesn’t affect the function and seemed like too much work to return. I think it will be fine.

Excellent quality , ease of assembly. Tons of storage space. I definitely plan on purchasing more in the future.
