Pros: The quality of this handbrake appears to be better than even the original one, which did not have a supporting bracket like this one and was more of a glorified hydraulic bicycle brake lever handbrake. This one is clearly for a moped or motorcycle, the grip is very tight. I was able to install it without a hitch, the only issue is the master cylinder (master box in this case) was 3 times the size of my previous one and didn't exactly fit under the plastic shell of my scooter. So I had to Dremmel cut a small 2-3 cm long piece to fit it in vertically (see photo). Cons: Note that the handbrake assembly comes without a single included rubber o-ring for making airtight seal and preventing air from entering the system. Luckily I had those. If you don't - get ones that fit a 10 mm bolt and are a couple of mm thick. The brake signal sensor didn't fit (in my case this is a battery power to hub motor cut off AND brake light sensor), but I was able to install the one on my previous broken brake, and it fit ideally. I'm beginning to wonder if all Chinese scooter parts are this interchangeable. In all - so far a purely positive experience. I cannot attest to longevity of the product, I guess we'll wait and see, and I'll adjust my review accordingly if necessary. I am an IT person and electronics servicing technician, so I had little to no experience taking apart the entire hydraulic brake assembly, calipers and all, cleaning and replacing the broken hand brake (the plunger broke on my original one). But I had no issues replacing handbrake and changing brake fluid whatsoever. This means neither should you. Emmo (by moped's makers) told me "we don't replace brake fluid, we just install all new brake assembly". I was absolutely appalled at how people who claim to be caring for our planet are so unambiguously and shamelessly wasteful! There was nothing wrong with the rest of the brake assembly. But had I gone there - it would have cost me upwards of $250 CAD. Glad I didn't. Always try to do repairs yourself first. Oh, and for my moped model? EMMO GT80. (Not the Deluxe, the older kind), Now. These are just the initial impressions
