The wheat chain is a looser link style, so it doesn't stay kinked. It also doesn't snag my hair, which is quite a relief! The clasp is easy to open and is secure. I'm allergic to nickel and did not react to this chain. It's very shiny, no oxidized parts, so be sure that's what you want before you order. The chain is true to size and exactly what I was hoping for. Know your measurements when ordering chains for your jewelry; for example, I ordered a 2.6 mm, which is fairly chunky, for a big pendant. I wanted it to sit low, about the middle of my torso, so I went with 24 inches (2 inches longer than my old chain). If you're not sure what you're looking for, find a chart. As long you're ordering correctly, you will be pleased with the quality of this chain.
