Beautiful results! I am 5'2" and found it a little heavy because of the battery - but used to that as I have several EGO attachments. The edger left a very finished look that I could not get by hand. It took a few tries to get used to it. Wear eye protection! It kicks up rocks/mulch etc. Totally worth the money to have beautiful edges around the garden/driveway etc.

Easy to manoeuvre along concrete due to metal guide. great cut edge. Needs smallest battery 2.5ah as 5ah is to heavy on it for me. smaller battery last well anyway. Great Product.

Recently I went (almost) all-electric on my yard tools. My last addition was this Ego Edger. I wasn’t sure what to expect. I’ve had a 4-wheel walk-behind gas edger for over 20 years, and it worked well although a bit cumbersome to handle, especially along the street-side curb. This thing just blew that gas edger away. The edger tool is well balanced with the Ego power head, and if you use the strap with it, it’s almost effortless. Everywhere this tool was much easier and more accurate to use than the gas walk-behind. My first use was also the first time the property has been edged in about 3 years so there was a bit of build-up. This handled it easily and the tool is very receptive to your guidance. I was surprised how easy it was to follow curves and how the once troublesome curb-side edging was now just as easy as sidewalk edging. The power is more than sufficient for the job and for me seemed as powerful as my gas edger. I used to edge once, maybe twice a season but with this tool I can see myself getting out more often, maybe monthly, whatever is needed. This is a purchase I’m very happy with. I added a star edger blade to it and it works great. If you plan on adding one note that the mounting hole is 1 inch, not 5/8 and the edger tool is listed as 8 inch but this one easily took a 9 inch blade.

Not gonna lie, I was fully expecting to get some janky half-broken unit that was deceptively "repaired" until you look closely, or even a box with a 10lb rock in it with the price here compared to others, but I got a fully refurbished, clean edger attachment with all the accessories and a manual. Almost looks brand new. I thought hey, I'll give it a chance and worst comes to worst I'll just return it. But I'm actually keeping this because it's what I wanted to begin with. The Amazon Renewed listing is like 130 while the offering here is 90 bucks for the same exact aluminum unit, AND this one is actually ego factory certified with a 1yr warranty. Mine was from jacks small engines, and while I haven't had to deal with returns yet, so I can't speak to their customer service, I can say their shipping was really fast. Really happy with this. Worth it. As for the ego edger. I mean it's an edger. It edges, and it edges well. Strong aluminum construction. Kinda heavy with the battery and powerhead, but you kinda want it to be when edging. I don't really get why people want the carbon fiber "new" edger instead of the slightly heavier aluminum one. Like why would I want it to be more prone to higher travel upwards if it experiences kickbacks? The extra weight keeps it stable. I completely get it with the trimmer or polesaw, etc, but for an edger, this is perfect.
