The ukulele itself was carefully wrapped, then enclosed in its fabric case before being boxed. But you also get quite a few accessories, making this excellent value for your money. It comes with a strap, several picks, a capo, extra strings, and an instruction guide for newbies like me. I went with the 21-inch size. I'm not sure if that's the best size for me, but it should be good to learn on, and I'll try a concert or tenor size later if I take to it. It's very lightweight, and the gig bag with backpack straps is great for keeping it protected at home or on the go. The ukulele looks lovely with the mahogany finish. It obviously comes untuned, so you'll want to tune it before you start playing. And remove the silica packet from inside the instrument. (If you hear rattling, that's probably what it is.) This set has everything you need, making it easy to get started.
