3L Electric Composter for Home, Kitchen Compost Bin.5bb.1.kft8.12.t001

Works exactly as described, with absolutely no odors! I bought this with the understanding that this composter takes kitchen scraps and dehydrates them, while grinding them to relatively small pieces (1/8" or less). You can then take the output and either dig it directly into your garden beds or add to a non-electric composter along with some "compost activator" for further fermentation/processing into compost. This composter appears to be well-made - it's sturdy and its pieces fit together nicely. The lid opens and closes easily, the bin lifts out and returns easily, and the bin has some form of non-stick coating on it. Finally, the controls are easy to understand and even tells you how much longer until the current run is completed. It has two processing options: 6 hours for normal use, and 4 hours for smaller loads. It also has a self-clean cycle, where you put water into the bin and it will slosh it around for about 15 minutes to clean the bin. I haven't used that cycle yet -- so far everything has easily wiped out of the bin with a rag, but if necessary, you can put the bin in your dishwasher! This model has a relatively small bin into which you place your scraps (3 liters), but since I live alone, that's more than I will ever need! If you have a small family, it will probably suffice as long as you run it fairly regularly. The normal time for it to process your scraps is about 6 hours, so I would just suggest that you keep adding scraps until it's either full or it's the end of the day -- then run it after dinner or overnight! P.S. - If you have a large family, this may not be the product for you, unless you want to run it after every meal! 🤣 The noise level while running was barely noticeable, and the activated charcoal filtration works flawlessly! Even when processing a full load of onion peelings, I couldn't detect a single smell (once the lid was closed)! I'm not sure how long the charcoal will last before needing to be replaced... The manual says approximately 6 months, but it really depends on how often you run the machine! I like it enough to know that I'll be using it regularly!!! I've only had it for about a week, but I'll update this review at a later date when I have more experience with it (good or bad!).

Me encanta! lo único que me arrepentí es no haber comprado uno más grande, aunque 3 litros es bastante bien, así no acumulo residuos orgánicos por. muchos días. La uso una vez a la semana, reduce bastante los desechos de la comida, quedan con un olor como tostadito. Eso lo estoy juntanto para revolverlo con tierra buena y ponerlo en mis macetas. Con esto ha reducido la basura semanal y que se me queden los residuos en la bolsa de basura echándose a perder. Si me gustó y lo recomiendo.

This composter is awesome for someone who lives alone but eats lots of fruits and veggies! I don't like throwing the rinds, peelings, bad fruit out the door - don't want unwanted visitors! And I don't want to throw it in the garbage! This compact composter makes compost in either 6 hours or 4 hours! Then I use the compost for my plants! And it cleans itself - just push the clean button!!!!!
