We first bought 2 pounds but it wasn’t enough. So we bought another 2 pounds. This, 4 pounds worked for us. I use a kitchen strainer to apply. **Q: how much do i need for a 1000 square feet putting green?** A: 1.0-1.5 pounds per 1000 square feet. Use straw or hydro mulch and crimp in, as the seed will tend to migrate and become a nuisance in the margins of your yard Fertilize frequently with a low analysis fertilizer ( the every holiday system works well).
