I live in dallas fwd, want to build a putting green on my back yard on an area that is partially shaded by a tree, is this a good seed for me?

Living in SoCal and our drought conditions, this lawn has held up well. The shade from a tree in the fromt, limits the amount of sun the grass sees. It is beautiful and green in all areas. Waterimg three times a week seems to meet the need.

What is the square footage of this

for new construction, a 1000 sq. ft. requires 1 to 1.5 lbs seeds; for overseeding, 1000 sq. ft. will need 0.5 to 1 lb of seeds

Is this good for the south with very hot summer?

Never purchase this, not a single seed sprouted. I am in California.
