Tracking is good, but the amount of times I accidently push the button in my pocket is insane, I bought a rubber case to try and calm it down, it kinda did but it still happens, so yeah fit for purpose just don't recommend tying the button to any specific actions as you will most likely trigger them accidently in pocket.

The Smart tag would not connect with my phone and when I tried to reset it, it stopped working altogether.

I can’t believe I went this long without a Galaxy SmartTag2. I attached it to my keys and instantly felt more at ease knowing I could track them if they ever got lost. Setup was super easy through the SmartThings app, and the Bluetooth range is surprisingly solid. Even when I left my keys at a friend’s house, I was able to see the last known location and get them back quickly. The design is sleek and minimal, and the battery life so far has been excellent. The new ring-shaped top makes it easy to attach to just about anything—backpacks, wallets, luggage, even pet collars. If you’re in the Samsung ecosystem, this is a no-brainer. Für alle, die ein Samsung Smartphone besitzen, ist der SmartTag 2 fast schon ein Pflichtkauf. Das Gerät fügt sich nahtlos in das riesige Samsung Ökosystem ein und genau das ist der große Vorteil gegenüber anderen Marken: Die Tracking-Abdeckung ist durch die Vielzahl an Samsung Geräten auf dem Markt einfach unschlagbar. Die Einrichtung ist kinderleicht: SmartThings-App öffnen, SmartTag einschalten – und schon wird er automatisch erkannt und verbunden. Danach noch schnell benannt und am Schlüsselbund oder einem anderen Gegenstand befestigt, und schon ist man startklar. Besonders praktisch finde ich die Zusatzfunktionen: Mit einem Doppelklick lässt sich zB das eigene Smartphone klingeln lassen (falls man es mal wieder verlegt hat) und mit einem langen Druck können sogar SmartHome Geräte gesteuert werden – geniale Idee! Was die Batterielaufzeit betrifft, schneidet der SmartTag laut vielen Tests besser ab als die Konkurrenz. Ich selbst musste die Batterie bisher noch nicht wechseln. Ich freue mich jetzt schon auf den SmartTag 3 und hoffe, dass er noch kompakter und flacher wird. Aber selbst in der aktuellen Version ist der SmartTag ein durchdachtes und zuverlässiges Gadget, das im Alltag echten Mehrwert bietet. Absolute Empfehlung für Samsung-Nutzer!
