I was disappointed by how flat the sponges were when they arrived. Based on Amazon’s product descriptions, I was expecting something about 4 times the thickness. Then I realized why would they NOT compress the sponges to save space in shipping. So after opening the packaging, the sponges began to swell ... just a little bit. Then I soaked them for just a few seconds, wrung them out and ... BOING ... they soon inflated to full size. So, to those who check their Amazon sponge delivery and see these things arrive as flat as a pizza, be patient. Give these guys a little water and see the difference Before and After. As far as function - On first use (to dry my shower) I felt they left too much water behind. A wrung out cotton wash cloth actually picks up water better (leaving less behind after a single swipe). I thought these would do better than the wash cloth - they did not. I will find a use for these sponges but it will not be to dry the shower.
