It is my go-to bag. Very roomy but not cumbersome. Leather feels luxurious: while it may seem stiff in the beginning, it will soften considerably within a week or so of daily use. The top zipper closure keeps everything inside the bag, such as if you have to make a sudden stop while driving and everything flies forward. The handles are very comfortable and like the body of the bag,, softens for a comfortable grip. (I wear crossbody bags only if they are small, so I don't think that I will be using the shoulder strap.) The exterior pockets on each side serve as regular pockets; additionally, additionally each side pocket has a zippered pocket, but they seem a little tight and may be difficult to get into, unless you have something small that you want to be especially careful not to lose, such as a pair of small earrings. It's the perfect size, not only can you fit your iPhone 6s Plus in the side pocket, but you can go shopping and throw a few items that you purchase right in there. I ditched the long strap - it's not needed because you can put the short handles right over your shoulder. I bought the wine color and I love the fact that it's technically "three tone". You get the main bag color, the handle color (brown) and then the Fossil key logo color which is a bright pink! Very unique. I feel like no one around will have a bag as cool as mine! I need something big enough to hold basics but not so big it bumps others on a crowded train; it had to have a zippered interior key pocket and open slide pockets for cell phone/reading glasses; and be of dimensions that would allow for an occasional file folder or portfolio for meetings. This pretty much does the job, although space is tight for a standard portfolio. I cannot see using the outside pockets for much, but they look good.My one beef is the handles. Other reviewers have said they can fit them onto their shoulders - I can barely do that (in my winter coat). If the handles were just 2" longer and they got rid of the silly shoulder strap (I don't understand having both), it would be absolutely perfect.
