The Stem Casters worked perfectly. They were easy to install and roll smoothly across the floor. I liked them so much that a day later I wanted to buy another set. Unfortunately, they are no longer available.

One of the casters on my shop stool chewed up its threads and the wheel kept falling off, making the thing unusable. These are the perfect replacement ; slightly larger diameter (3" vs 2" originally) means less getting caught on little floor debris, softer compound gives a much smoother ride and the ball bearing swivel is very smooth and turns easily... Plus, quite cheaper than replacing the entire, otherwise perfectly good stool. The locking feature is entirely useless in this application, but for some reason, these were cheaper than the "plain" ones... Odd!

The item was advertised as made of stainless steel. This was the reason I bought it. IT IS NOT MADE of SS. Simple tests (magnet, acid HCl) show it is a zinc galvanized steel, and the zinc coat is lousy. I want my money back ! Also, I should be compensated for my lost time.
