Quiet, Powerful, and Built Like a Tank
I upgraded to the ASUS ROG Strix 1200W Platinum power supply, and it has honestly been one of the most solid components in my entire build. From the moment I opened the box, it felt high-quality. The cables are fully modular and easy to route, the finish looks premium, and installation was straightforward. Once it was powered on, the first thing I noticed was how quiet it is. Even when my system is under load with a high-end GPU and a lot of accessories, the PSU barely makes a sound. Performance has been flawless. The voltage stays stable, there’s no coil whine, and the system feels extremely smooth even during long gaming sessions or heavy multitasking. The ATX 3.1 support gives me peace of mind for next-gen GPUs, and the GPU-first voltage stabilizer is actually noticeable because my graphics card no longer has those tiny dips or flickers that I used to get with cheaper power supplies. It just runs clean and consistent. This is the kind of PSU that you install once and don’t worry about again. It runs cool, it’s efficient, and the 10-year warranty says a lot about how confident ASUS is with the build quality. If you’re putting together a high-end system and want something reliable and quiet with plenty of power overhead, this is easily one of the best options out right now.

Absolute Beast of a Power Supply – Perfect for High-End GPUs
The absolute beast of power supplies. I bought this specifically so my PC could properly support my newly purchased RTX 5090 graphics card, and it delivers exactly what I needed. Everything about this PSU is top-notch—build quality, stability, and performance. Especially impressive is the included 5090 power cable. It feels solid and secure, and it’s reassuring to use the manufacturer-supplied cable designed for high-power GPUs. Yes, it’s expensive—but with hardware like a 5090, this is not the place to cut corners. A reliable power supply protects your entire system, and this one gives real peace of mind. Total recommendation if you can afford it. If you’re investing in a high-end GPU, spending a couple hundred more on a quality PSU that can protect it just makes sense. Verdict: BUY.

Top PSU with all the extras.
What a monster power supply. Works without issue or fail and provided more than enough stable power for 285k/Asus 5090 running full AI loads or 4k gaming. Love that is monitors(through gpu tweak 3) all the individual power pins on the gpu. No worries about an expensive 5090 burning up. I also use TG Wireview as well for extra insurance. The supplied cables are flexible enough to fit anywhere and are of high quality. Easy to install and manage the wires.

Best PSU I had
Best PSU I had, built a pc and the case I bought had a defective power button that was shorting somehow and the PSU saved my built by cutting the power off, it is dead silent, since it's fully modular it's so easy to set up the cable management and I have a 5080 so the dedicated PCIE cable for the GPU is way easier to hide than those old ones.

Amazing PSU w RTX Power Connection
Amazing PSU especially with the new power connector for RTX 5090 GPUs. My previous ASUS Thor 2 was good, but it would start beeping under heavy load. I was afraid it would shutdown on its own like my old EVGA 1000W. So I decided to upgrade to the new ASUS ROG Strix 1200W. No beeps, no problems, and the fan is even more silent. Easy integration with my PC setup (AMD 9900X, RTX 5090, MSI Carbon WIFI X870E, 64GB RAM, ASUS TUF Case).

A late 4th of July firework
Yet another update after their "elevated support" got back to me: I got an email telling me I'd get another email in 2 days. What?? Why not just wait and send the email then? The email they sent was "We do apologize for the delayed response time. However, based on the issue described, please allow the next 2 business days before being provided with a response, as your case will be escalated to our higher level of support." They sent this unprompted. I didn't request an eta on the support I was waiting on. I was initially told 1-2 business days for "elevated support" to contact me. Then 1 business day later I get that email. I am genuinely confused why their support team would waste time doing that. Update after contacting support: My power supply exploded and the response is to tell me I need to wait 1-2 days for somebody else to call me? Why? Nobody on staff today can do an RMA or something? The thing literally blew up with fire and smoke. It's pretty open and shut in terms of assessment. I understand the need for processes, but I very literally saw the PSU shoot flames and smoke billow out of it. I really don't get why I have to wait for a phone call to get someone who can help me resolve my issue and start an RMA. Then I asked what Asus does in the event of this incident destroying my PC components and got told that I'll be informed in the future. Their company doesn't have a policy in place for this? Not even to just say "it's case by case" to me? The agent made it seem like they just didn't know. Extremely dissatisfied with this product and the support I have received so far. Original review below: Upon installation everything seemed good to go until I turned it on. ASUS usually makes good products: I've got a ROG Strix GPU and a TUF Motherboard, so I know firsthand their usual quality. I understand PSUs can be faulty sometimes, but good lord. It exploded, like actually exploded upon me hitting the power button on the case. Big plume of smoke, burst of flame, loud bang, and fried my whole build. Praying that my wife, cats, and I don't have cancer from the metallic smoke billowing out and filling our apartment before we could open a window. Currently stuck waiting for their support services to open. Will update my review accordingly once I've been able to talk to someone.

Great PSU, but the cables are kinda lacking in my opinion.
Very nice PSU with a great feature set, & extremely quiet... My only complaint, & the sole reason I knocked off a star was purely because of the cables, & lack of cable combs on the 24-pin mobo connector... Not only are they clear against blackish-grey thin-sleeved diamond patterned leatherette cables (personally, I think they should be black rather than clear), but they're only on the 12VHPWR which for a PSU at this price & of this quality, you should have thicker cables with more combs included in the set... Although I will say, I am glad there's a discount coupon code for Cablemod in the box, as I made use of it to order new 24-pin, & PSU cables with combs.
