Is this made from food grade stainless steel?

Yes it is. We have used it for soup and for an etoufee. It kept the food hot, and cleaned easily.

I don't know if it is considered dishwasher safe but personally, I would never wash either the Thermos water or food containers in the dishwasher. According to this website "Hand wash. 冷めない！！

朝に入れた熱々のお湯が昼過ぎでも熱々です。熱いと本体から直接飲めないので、蓋つきもなるほどです。本体に少し窪みがあるのは、大きくても持ちやすく洗いやすいからかな。夏は大ぶりの氷が沢山入るし、大変気に入っています。

クーラーボックスにも入れやすいサイズ感で持ち運びに便利。スープや氷を入れてキャンプで使う用に購入しましたが品質には満足しています。メイドインチャイナですが発送はUSでした。到着予定日の早めの日程で届いて満足です。
