They also are not textured pads, but smooth, very slippery and watery pads, leaving a lot of solution over your skin to the point it drips down your face -- not to mention the pads slide every way but the right way. The pads were extremely saturated by the liquid solution, which I supposed is better than the super-dry pads I've tried in the past. In terms of benefits to my sensitive, blemish-prone skin: I noticed very little change in acne, blackheads, or clairity. The pads helped minimize some smaller blemishes, but did nothing for the moderate or bigger eruptions, and only minimally helped in preventing acne. There were no changes in the blackheads. Solvere Acne Pads are equivalent to Stridex in terms of helping to clear acne. On the positive side, the pads were not drying to my sensitive, blemished skin, and that was the main reason I bought them. If you are tired of drying pads and want some improvement over very minor acne eruptions (and don't mind smelling like a salon perm), then this is your product. If you have severe or more cystic acne, or even moderate acne, try something else and don't waste your money. Most products with exfoliating acids in them tear my skin up, but with these, it took a while, so the descent into painful, sore, inflamed skin was gradual and I didn't identify these as the culprit for a few months. I have exceptionally reactive skin, so I don't think this is a bad product necessarily, just that products of this type don't work for people of my type. I did hang onto it for many more months and occasionally tried it again, hoping that I was wrong and I could like it, so that should say something about how good the product is, or how insane I am. If your skin is too sensitive for other exfoliants, it will probably be too sensitive for these. They are quick and easy to use. I found them to be a little drying so I alternate using them every other night, after I wash my face. I have oily skin and am very prone to breakouts. I've been using them for about a month and so far I would recommend them.
