Why does the Nintendo Switch 2 not recognize my microSD Express card when first powered on?

Will the microSD card I used in my old Nintendo Switch [1] work with the Nintendo Switch 2?

The Switch 2 requires a microSD Express card to save or run digital games. The console may be able to read screenshots and videos on a non-Express card, but you won't be able to run Switch 2 games from it.

The card retention system broke after 5 pushes (push to insert-push to eject system). After some minutes of spinning, the fan became very noisy, rattling, vibrating a lot. Tried to contact Lexar, their Amazon chat will keep replying there's no agent available, despite that being the recommended method of support. Their website chat (another support option) took 2 hours to reply, then got moved to emails. They asked for a video, invoice and address, then told me to deal with Amazon customer support instead. I got refunded for it. Lexar didn't want to collect the product for investigation so it seems they don't care. I opened the reader, and repositioned the thermal pad that should be placed between card slot and heatsink (it was offplace). That's now causing enough pressure to hold the card in, but not it seems like excessive pressure and scratches the MicroSD cards. I'm very thankful for Amazon Customer Support, but I'm very unlikely to buy something else from Lexar after this.

Parfait fonctionne bien sur switch 2. La console demande juste 1 mise a jour pour formater la carte sd lors de l'insertion. Bémol la switch 2 affiche 930Go au lieu de 1to ou 1000Go mais cela doit être normal.
