I was wondering how you attach this pruning saw to the fiskars telescopic upx86 tree pruner? any help would be appreciated. tony..

Hi you can find video on the net to show how to attach the pruning saw if you have a bracket on the saw then yourpruner head should fold down you then fit the saw on the handle oppersite side from the pruners.by undoing the orange nut on the saw put around the handle just under racket joint then tighten up

I purchased "fiskars powergear x telescopic tree pruner upx86, non-stick coated, steel blade/aluminium handle, length 2.4 - 4 m, " how do i fit saw?

Hi, On the pole you will see a locking mechanism that releases the pruner. Turn this to release & the saw can then be put in it’s place & locked.

How do i know if up86 is compatible with saw- it says not compatible with older generation up82, up84 and up86 tools ? i bought up86 last year

It is indeed not compatible with older up86 out of the box, because the shaft on the upx86 is thicker than the up86 and the clamp of the saw is too loose on the up86. However by gluing a ~4mm thick pad (nylon or rubber) onto the moveable part of the clamp, I was able to have it clamp securely and work very satisfactorily with my up86/Wilkinson-sword pruner bought about 10 years ago. First rate product and very sharp!

How do you adjust the cutting head? Is there a release catch?

The head rotates through 90 degrees and has a ratchet which is tightened which a thumb screw to lock it place.
