Worth every penny! My grandkids made these with ease which made it a lot of fun after watching the 2 minute video. The tray base is a game changer. Every gingerbread house should come with one. They literally put these houses together in minutes. Once the house was put together we waited the 15 minutes before decorating them. The kit comes with nice candy and enough icing that they loved. The extra art piece that's included to color and place on top is just awesome. We haven't tried eating any yet so I cannot comment on taste. I did read positive reviews on taste though before purchasing.

Well. I shouldn't quit my day job to go on a baking show just yet, ya'll! The kit was great. I do have arthritis so squeezing the tube was difficult even after massaging it as instructed. Good value for the money and made for a hilarious memory with my child, who had specifically requested we build a gingerbread house this year. Ok. My first gingerbread house and while silently being observed by someone who has made many, in the aftermath here are our pros and cons. Pros. It came shipped with all parts unbroken. The gingerbread flavor was very nice. All of the candy that came with is tasted really nice as well. The instructions and setup were clear and simple. After a little trial and error it came out great and we had a fun time and were very pleased. Cons. At room temperature (70°f) it took a lot longer than expected for the frosting to harden, however after it did, it was very solid. Many pieces slid down while trying to decorate too early. Eventually we just let it sit overnight to let the main structure set before decorating. Some of the walls had to be trimmed to fit better. Not a huge deal. We used a vegetable peeler to smooth them. Our take. Highly recommended. Now that we know the nuances the one next year will be better. We took it out of its plastic base and put down some fake snow and jar light to fancy it up. We will definitely buy it again.

Ginger bread house was great. Kids had fun building it. Loved that it came with a base and something to keep the roof together. Unfortunately did not receive the mini chips ahoy.

The gingerbread pieces are sturdy and easy to handle. It comes with a base that is grooved so you can add icing and set the walls. There is also a cardboard support that holds the roof sections in place as icing hardens. The kids thought this support was cute because it had a chimney and Santa’s legs were visible. You could have the kids color it before attaching. We got m and m candies instead of the tiny sugar beads that came with it which are easier to apply. Really cute, kids had fun building and I will look for this same one next year and hope it is available!
