Hopefully this will be of help to some. I have a 40x40 foot pole barn, with trusses 15'6' from the floor. I Installed 6 lights in 2 rows. One direction has 2 lights per row, roughly 13'3" (40 / 3), from each wall. The other direction has 3 lights per row, with 2 lights on rafters 8 foot from each end wall, and one light centered (20 feet) from each end wall. As per the suggestion, I bought 150 watt lights. My eyes are not as good as they used to be in low light, but this was plenty of light. I probably could have gotten away with four 150 watt lights. My one complaint is that I have an antenna in the in the pole barn that is hooked to both the TV and radio. The TV is fine, but the radio now gets pretty loud static when the lights are turned on. The lights are on their own dedicated 15 amp circuit. I bought clip on ferrite rings, 20 for $15 on Amazon (the power cords are 6 MM), and put 3 on each power cord, and the last 2 on the antenna cable. This helped a lot. You can still hear the static during silences, but not much when there is talking or music.

This is my 3rd time to buy from them. All 3 times have been a great experience and the product is great.

We have multiple of these in our barn and in the shop really bright.
