Nitecore TINI 3 600 Lumen EDC Keychain Flashlight, USB-C Rechargeable Lightweight with Multiple Color Temperatures Output (Warm, Neutral White, Cool White) and NSticker (Black)

It’s been more than 18 years since I last bought a flashlight. Back then, white LED lights were still a novelty. Brands like Lightwave were selling giant torches with clusters of tiny diodes: four LEDs on 3 AA batteries gave you around 20 lumens, seven LEDs on 3 C batteries maybe 35 lumens, and the “huge” ten-LED version (running on 3 D batteries) pushed a mere 50 lumens. At the time, SureFire was the gold standard, boasting 120 lumens — which felt revolutionary. When phones began including their own flashlights, putting out 20–30 lumens, I figured that was the end of it. Why bother with a flashlight if a phone could already match or beat what those old monsters could do? I never thought a truly tiny flashlight could surpass my phone in a meaningful way. Fast forward to today. On a whim, I picked up the Nitecore TINI 3, and I can honestly say I wasn’t prepared for what this little thing delivers. First Impressions The TINI 3 is.... tiny — under two inches long and weighing far less than a car key fob. On a keychain or in a pocket, it practically disappears. (YouTube reviews make it look bigger than it really is.) But the second you switch this tiny thing on, you realize why it deserves to be carried: this is not a random gimmicky gadget; this is a serious tool. Performance That Defies Size I started with the 15 lumen mode, and it immediately outshone my phone flashlight — not just slightly brighter, but more usable. The beam had more clarity and throw. At 65 lumens, the difference was big. This was real, practical brightness in a form far smaller than a car key fob. For the first time, I realized just how far LED technology and optics have come. Then came the higher modes: 200 lumens for sustained use — a level that feels shockingly powerful in such a tiny light, easily flooding an entire room or throwing an impressive amount of light for confident day-to-day outdoor use. And finally, the 600 lumen turbo burst, which made me laugh out loud the first time I saw it. In a light this small, that kind of power feels unreal. Indoors, it instantly drowns a room in clean and very powerful light. Outdoors, it feels like something far larger is in your hand. Beam Quality & Color Options What really impressed me wasn’t just the raw brightness, but the quality of the beam. The TINI 3 produces a rich, smooth flood — wide, very even, and pleasing to the eye. It doesn’t feel harsh, just natural illumination wherever you point it. Nitecore also added something I have never seen in a keychain light (or any flashlight for that matter): three selectable color temperatures. You can choose between cool white for maximum punch, neutral white for balanced clarity, and warm white for softer, eye-friendly light in close-up use. Each one feels thoughtfully tuned, and it’s shocking to see this level of implementation in such a small light (Nitecore needs to carry this exact implementation into their other flat EDC's) Final Thoughts I went in expecting “cute and useful.” What I got was a powerful, modern tool in a micro package. For someone who remembers lugging around clunky multi-LED flashlights that barely hit 30 lumens, the TINI 3 feels like science fiction. It’s smaller than my old Pocket-Bright keychain light from years ago, yet produces hundreds of times more usable light — with better beam quality, smarter color options, and real practical value. If you’ve ever thought your phone flashlight was “good enough,” this little keychain powerhouse will change your mind the moment you turn it on.

I have accumulated a decent number of LED flashlights over the past few years, and each time I get a new one it is only after a fair amount of research. So far I have lights from Fenix, Olight, Streamlight, Wurkos and now Nitecore. Typically, I unbox the light, play with it for a bit to understand the UI, then rotate it into my collection. I have some great lights now, but I have to say I have really taken a shine to this little light. In my opinion, Nitecore hit a homer with this one. I didn't think I could be this happy with a light that runs at 200 lumens (turbo to 600) max, but I just can't put this thing down! After fidgeting with it, I found the lock and unlock feature, along with the color temperature change toggle, which is very cool in itself! The OLED display is teeny yet perfectly clear and the two button setup was well thought out. If you are looking for a small light you can stash anywhere that has a long battery life and an excellent UI then you really should pick one of these up. The price is on point for what you are getting, and it is easy and quick to charge. This little things weighs next to nothing, so if you carry it in your pocket you will need to tap to make sure it is actually there. As far as durability goes, this aluminum chassis feels fantastic and I bet I could chuck it down the street and it would still work without a hitch. I won't do that because that would be a mean thing to do to my new little friend. Don't get me wrong, this thing isn't tactical and you won't be driving nails with it, but it is a perfect little light to have as a backup or if you just want to carry something small yet effective either on your person, in your pack, or in your glovebox.

So I picked up both this and the TIP3. I thought I would like the TIP3 more... I wanted to hate the fact that this has a screen. I don't need a screen on my flashlight... But having used this for several days and FAR favoring it to the TIP3, I'm genuinely impressed with it. Exactly how much light you need for a pocket light. Easy to control. It's clear how much battery life you have. It's been incredibly useful, over and over again. It hangs out in my pocket, and it never unlocks automatically -- which was the big issue with the TIP3. The recessed buttons here make ALL the difference... Even if I don't like it, it's less likely to come on inappropriately. I'm tempted to say that this is the absolute most versatile and useful "tiny light" out there. It disappears in a pocket, in a good way, it only has useful modes, and it's just so damned simple and reliable. And the adjustable color temperature is great - I typically leave it on warm, but that isn't even an option for most lights... I think Nitecore has the right idea here with these LEDs. I'm much more impressed than I expected to be - mostly because I just don't ever have to think about this. It stays off when I want, it goes everywhere, and it does its job perfectly. All flashlight designers should take note - there are others in this category that are good, but the combination of recessed buttons (seriously, how hard is this?), size-to-battery life ratio, adjustable color temp and ease of use really is ideal here. You aren't going to go wrong picking this (and it's DEFINITELY the better option compared to the TIP3)

I've carried a lot of keychain flashlights over the years, and the Nitecore TINI 3 is easily one of the best. It's incredibly compact and lightweight, yet the 600-lumen Turbo mode is surprisingly powerful for something that fits on a keyring. It's perfect for finding dropped items, walking the dog at night, checking under the hood of a car, or lighting up an entire room during a power outage. One of my favorite features is the ability to switch between warm, neutral, and cool white light. The warm setting is easy on the eyes for close-up tasks, while the cool white mode provides maximum brightness outdoors. The OLED screen is another nice touch—it shows battery level, brightness setting, remaining runtime, and color temperature, so there's no guessing how much power you have left. USB-C charging is fast and convenient, and the battery lasts longer than I expected with normal everyday use. The aluminum body feels solid and premium, and despite carrying it every day with my keys, it's held up very well. The only minor downside is that the buttons are a bit small, especially if you're wearing gloves, and the Turbo mode steps down after a short time to manage heat. That's expected for a flashlight this small and doesn't take away from its overall performance. Overall, if you're looking for a premium keychain flashlight that's bright, durable, and packed with useful features, the Nitecore TINI 3 is absolutely worth the money. I'd buy it again without hesitation

Bought this for my ultralight backpacking kit. Has a number of nice features such as remains battery life for each brightness setting and the lumens for each setting. It's more of a flood than spot beam, which is good for around the campsite. Impressively bright at the turbo setting. Hard to find many other lights that are this weight with the number of features it offers. I went with orange for high visibility in my ditty bag and in the tent. The topper is that it recharges with USB-C like my other items so I'm now down to just one short charging cable needed to recharge devices. Recommended.

There are a wide range of keychain lights on the market which, from the perspective of providing light, do a fine job. The problems I've had with other brands and models: one had some kind of malfunction where the turbo mode stayed on and wouldn't respond to key presses. It got very hot and I worried it would melt down. Eventually the battery died and the firmware (or whatever the problem was) reset, and it was fine from that point onward, but I couldn't trust it after that. Another couldn't handle life on my keychain: the plastic lens cover fell off or broke off. A bigger problem with some of these lights is they have a habit of unlocking and/or turning on in the pocket, which is also irritating, especially if it stays on long enough to drain the power, leaving you with a dead flashlight when you most need it. The Nitecore TINI 2 was excellent -- version 3 improves on it. So far I've had no problems with the firmware, and the classic Nitecore display is not only really cool looking, but informative and useful. As for turning on in the pocket, that hasn't happened, in large part because of the wise decision by the designers to require both buttons be pressed at the same time to turn it on from a locked state (and you'll probably want to carry it in a locked state). This can be done with one thumb covering both buttons. It's not fiddly at all. As you hold down the two buttons, the display shows you that it is unlocking the light with a progress bar. This makes it very easy to actuate in complete darkness. The light feels pleasingly sturdy and metallic, including the loop for the keychain. The two button interface works well: one button turns it on or off, as well as locks the light. The other changes the lumens, and here you have the choice of 1 lumen (enough to read by), 15 lumens (enough for locating things under a desk or in a tent at night), 65 lumens (enough for a walk out to the mailbox at night), 200 lumens (more than enough for a long night walk), and then a turbo mode of 600 lumens which is probably overkill for a light of this size, but, hey, I'll take it. As for the turbo mode, they made another great design decision: you can't accidentally cycle to this (blinding yourself). To access it you have to hold the button down. As you cycle through each of the settings, the lumen count appears on the display. Then, after a moment it will tell you how much time you have left (according to the battery charge) on whatever lumen setting you've selected. Really nifty. Overall I can't find any deficiencies of this diminutive light and I'm not sure where else there is to go with keychain lights. The charging port is standard USB-C, it will charge with any cable you have laying around. I give it my strongest recommendation and can't find any deficiencies.

This is a well designed small but powerful light, perfect for edc. It has a good variety of lumen settings, 1, 15, 65, 200, (600 on momentary switch). The problem with many similar design lights is that they don't have low lumens settings. Of you need to see on a confined space low lumens are a necessity. Bright light washes out everything and you can't see at all. This is small enough to easily hold in your mouth so you can use both hands which is frequently needed. The only alternative would be a headlamp which is great but you aren't going to typically have that in your pocket 100% of the time like you could with this light. My optometrist just confirmed that frequently, not being able to see well is a function of poor lighting rather than poor corrected vision. I've had numerous people who I've recommended the concept of an edc flashlight tell me they already have one on their phone. I've yet to see anyone be able to hold their phone in such a way that they can use both their hands and still be able to aim the light at the work area. Sure if you only need to walk to your car then your phone will work just fine. I have 2 other Nitecore lights and I've both for about 10 years the only issue I've had with them is that the elastic for the headlamp wore out after about 8 years. I should like to add that customer service with Nitecore is very good also. One serious problem with any edc light is having it turn on in your pocket and killing the battery. Nitecore has addressed this with 2 key lock positions. A long press shutting off the light locks the on/ off button but leaves the momentary 600 lumen switch active. Press even longer and all the buttons are locked. Press both buttons simultaneously to unlock. There's a visual on the little information screen which shows the countdown to unlocking the buttons. This is a great little light and based on my experience with my other Nitecore lights, I would say well worth the money.

Smaller than I thought, works amazing, so useful!! Orange color makes it easier to find at night.

Amazing light. Super durable and fun. Ridiculously long battery life on lower settings, which honestly work in a lot of situations. Highly recommend.

Stopped charging after just 3 months of normal use. Pathetic

Solid product. Works well on a keychain and the lock function does its job (I've not found the torch burning bright in my pocket like with other products) The low light 1 Lumen setting is also surprisingly useful. I've used it as a night light and left it on in hotel rooms over night. In this setting you get 90 hours+ of run time

excellent product... I own the original Tini and the Tini 2... the Tini 3 is a nice improvement... the increased battery life is well appreciated... I recommend this product... mine lives in my jeans pocket-watch pocket while the Tini 2 still resides on my key chain and is standing up well to day to day abuse

Small but mighty. Not cheap, but great torch to have on your keychain.
