The originals had split at the seams after countless hours of use. The pads fit perfectly and were very easy to install. The instructional video was also very helpful. They look great, almost the same as the original set. Perhaps it is my memory failing me after so long, but I don't recall my original pads being quite this firm. When I changed them out, the difference in softness was very apparent. They are still comfortable but not quite as much as the original set. They don't conform to my ears/head as much either. The material does seem to be wrapped tighter in comparison to any of my other SkullCandy headphones, but again, I use them very frequently and perhaps they softened up over time. But one of my other pairs are still in mint condition and they are much softer and more comfortable. I hoped for a very similar feel from these. Still, these replacements do their job in restoring my headphones' appearance and I don't have to worry about the foam deteriorating from exposure anymore. Worth the price to restore such expensive headphones to a fresh appearance! I do wish there were more colors and patterns available for this model.
