Great Gels. Shop around for best price.
I love these gels for my long runs and triathlons. I really feel the burst of energy I get after taking one, lasts 20-30mins. But they are crazily expensive. This pack was the best value this time, but other times different formats and flavours are on deal so search around on amazon and eBay to find the best value. All the flavours are great.

A Reliable Energy Boost with a Pleasant Flavour but Not My Top Choice
The Science in Sport GO Isotonic Energy Gel in the orange flavour is a dependable option for endurance activities and provides a noticeable boost when you need it most. After testing it during several training rides and a longer weekend session I found it performed exactly as intended by delivering quick energy without causing any stomach discomfort. While the flavour is acceptable and I would purchase it again it is not my favourite gel in the wider range available. One of the strongest features of this gel is its isotonic formulation. It is designed so that you do not need to drink water alongside it which is particularly useful during intense efforts when reaching for a bottle is not always convenient. It digests easily and does not leave a heavy feeling which is something I appreciate during harder intervals or climbs. The texture is thinner than many gels on the market and this helps make it easier to consume at speed. The orange flavour itself is fine with a gentle citrus taste that is neither too sweet nor too artificial. However it does not stand out as much as some other flavours I have tried in the past. It sits somewhere in the middle by being pleasant enough but not especially memorable. Despite this it is still a flavour I could comfortably use during a long event without it becoming overwhelming. Performance wise the gel does exactly what you expect from the Science in Sport range. The energy release is steady and noticeable within a short period of time. I found it helpful during longer rides when energy levels began to drop. It provided a reliable lift without making me feel jittery. The portion size is generous and the packaging is easy to open even with gloves which is an important detail during winter training. In terms of digestion it is one of the more stomach friendly gels I have used. There was no cramping or bloating and it sat comfortably which is essential for endurance use. This alone makes it a product I would consider keeping as part of my nutrition rotation. Overall the Science in Sport GO Isotonic Gel in orange is a solid and practical option for fuelling rides or runs. It provides quick reliable energy and remains easy on the stomach. Although the flavour is not my first choice I would still buy it again as it performs well and delivers the benefits you expect from a trusted sports nutrition brand.

Excellent gels at great price
I use SIS gels as they suit me for longer rides. Important to take them before you’re tired for best effect. Always buy in box of 30 as you can get the best discount…vary the taste choice based on best discount…not a fan of the caffeine versions

Value gels, taste great!
Orange SiS gels are my favourite, so good to find a box of them where each gel works out better value for money than in the supermarkets. Provide the energy needed, easy to open and handy to have the box to keep them all together. Box is probably too big for the gels inside, but that’s hardly a problem!

Go to energy gels.
I’ve used SIS gels for years. Got these for Trimpell 20 & Leighton Hall Trail half training runs. Ready for the Marathon now. I use 1 after 10k then every 3-4K depending on how I feel. I back them up with Oat Bars/Flapjacks as I get hungry. These gels work a treat, definitely keep you going when it starts to get tough.

Probably the best there is.
Your isotonic gel of choice is completely personal preference as some tend to cause various side-effects. However, I have now tried s few different brands and I have found that these SIS Go to be just right for long runs (or other endurance events). The pack size is not too bulky and will fit snugly into most belt holsters or pouches, the consistency of the product is probably the best of both worlds - not impalatebly thick such that you end up gagging, nor is it so liquid that you might as well be drinking lucazade. I occasionally get irritation around my mouth because of the foil packaging - this isn't ideal, and I did consider dropping a star for it. However, I have since reflected and decided that it is likely to be my technique. The past suggests one every 20 minutes which I would say is fine if you are running no more than 12 miles (20km) or so. If you want to go any further I strongly advise you to ration them to perhaps once every 40 minutes otherwise you'll spend the next two days occupying the toilet in rather a lot of discomfort. As for the taste - these orange ones are the most palatable and the lemon ones are not too bad either. I suspected that they may taste of old army 'screech', but they are actually rather tasty. I now use SIS regularly for long runs (I actually don't bother for anything less than 10km). One every 40 minutes and sips of water as I go appears to keep me moving

Use by date.
Good product. However check the use by date, they have a habit of being within 8 weeks when purchased. Annoying.
