The BEST for repairing shoes!
We've used Shoe Goo for probably 20 years, to repair and extend the life of our shoes. We use it to re-glue on a sole if it pulls away from the shoe, or to plug up cracks or holes that would allow water to get in. It works like a charm on hiking boots, work boots, tennis shoes, and even sandals. We get better results from using several thin layers, allowing them to dry a bit before adding the next layer. Once several layers are applied, we press together the two parts and clamp them. The next day the shoe is good as new! It dries strong and flexible, much like the original sole. Shoe Goo is one of those products you don't think about a lot, but you sure want it in the work bench drawer when you need it!

Don't use this product for shoe repair!
This product is extremely messy and will get all over your shoes and hands (use gloves if you must handle it). Also there is a warning on the package that it is a carcinogen and should not be inhaled. This black gooey mess will get all over your shoes and everywhere else. It does not dry quickly if you are trying to repair shoe soles, so the soles will keep sliding all over the place and when it finally hardens your shoe soles will be stuck in whatever position that they have slid to and you will not be able to reposition them. Don't waste your money on this if you are repairing shoes!

Fixes my sole.
I have been running in minimal running shoes, and my left foot lands off-center due to some issue with my form. This has caused significant wear spots to appear in the same spot on several pairs of shoes. I was pretty annoyed that I was going to have to buy more shoes even though most of those shoes is fine. However, I happened on this product and figured I would buy it. So far, I find it to work better that I would have guessed. I cover the wear holes in the soles of my shoes with the goo and it lasts for 20 or more miles between applications. It appears that there are quite a few applications in the tube, say at least 30 for the size of my wear spot, so that means I basically bought a pair of running shoes that lasts 600 miles for a very low price. I'm satisfied.

First time to use this
Just bought this stuff per a comment when shopping for water shoes. Never heard of the stuff. I am glad I bought this size. We are a family of 4 and will be heading off on vacation to some water parks. At the moment I have put it on 3 adult sized shoes. I am still waiting for the fourth pair to arrive. I would say this tube will cover 4 pairs of water shoes an no more. I will review again after we get back from vacation. Water shoes never have inserts that stay in place. I have high hopes this stuff will work. I am not going to say it will remain water proof after a day but one can dream. When applying it, it says let it air dry 2 minutes and you need to apply to both surfaces. It works just like rubber cement glue only this stuff seems to dry out faster. I applied the stuff with a plastic knife. I would say work fast when spreading it. Not crazy fast but you can't start then stop and talk then go back to work on it. Once you apply it get to business! The smell is just as strong as rubber cement glue for those that can't tolerate heavy smells. That being said, either have insoles that fall out or suffer the smell and just do it. Wish me luck this stuff holds at the water parks!

Essential Household/Workshop Item
I have been using Shoe-goo for years, but never on a pair of shoes. I've found this stuff to be an essential addition to any glues, adhesives, sealants, etc in garage workshop. This product dries waterproof, remains mildly pliable and has a high degree of adhesion. I even used it once to glue a set of Phillips LED daytime running light brackets into a difficult spot on the front of my high end car. After two years, the stuff was still holding fine. Whenever I use up a tube, I promptly buy another. Gotta have a tube in the toolbox at all times.

IF IT BREAKS, DON'T BOO IT. JUST GOO IT.
I began using Shoe Goo on my tennis shoes in 1983. Since then, new uses have emerged every week or so. I keep a few extra tubes in the workshop because it is durable, pliable and waterproof and a valuable asset in many hobbies. It will adhere to any clean surface that's not coated in oil, grease, paint thinner or acetone. Many times when doing outdoor electrical work, I don't want to open a new tube of silicone sealant for a small job. Show Goo works just as well. The important thing is to clean the threads on the tube and the cap after each use and it will last for months. I use a small rag dampened with acetone or mineral spirits to clean the tube and cap after each use. Before I apply Shoe Goo, I clean whatever I'm gooing with 91% Isopropyl alcohol. If it breaks, don't boo it, goo it.

did not work for me
I am not sure why this got so many good reviews. I followed the instructions and let set for 72 hours and it would not hold. The souls of my boots were starting to come off so I used this. This worked about as well as hot glue would. Going back to Gorilla glue.

Best Stuff Ever
My husband and I have used this for everything. It dries quickly, sticks to anything, and holds up to wear and tear. Up until recently, we had never actually used it for shoes. It works on fabric, plastic, we mounted led lights under an outdoor tile counter top. We put flashing lights on halloween costumes last minute and it was adhered and wearable with in 5 minutes. I would use this over silicon, gorilla glue or super glue.
